MAESTRO 200 Simplified Installation Notice
This simplified notice does not replace the user manual provided with the product, which must be read before installing the automation system.
LIMITS OF USE
Pilier (Pillar): Minimum 20 cm
Vantail (Leaf): Maximum 2.2 m
Maximum Load: 250 Kg
Minimum distance: 500 mm
⚠️ If any of these values are not respected, it is preferable to contact our technical service.
CHOOSING THE ARM POSITION ON THE GATE LEAF
Determine the appropriate area to fix the gate leaf fixing plate (mark its location without fixing or drilling the leaf yet). It should be fixed on the frame or a crossbar of the gate. Measure the height at which it should be located and transfer this measurement to the pillar. The axes of the pillar fixing plate and the leaf will be on the same plane.
MOUNTING THE MOTOR ON THE PILLAR AND ITS ARM ON THE LEAF
Measure the value of "B" on the pillar.
Based on the value of "B" and the desired opening angle of the leaves, you can find the value of "A" (distance between the center of the pillar fixing and the gate's rotation axis) in the adjacent table.
For example, if the value "B" is 100 mm and you desire an opening angle of 100°, the value of "A" should be approximately 180 mm.
Fix the motor fixing plate to the pillar, respecting the determined values of "A" and "B". Use screws adapted to the pillar material and check that it is level.
Mount the operator onto the plate fixed to the pillar using the screws and self-locking nuts with nylon rings.
Assemble the curved arm to the right arm and the other end of the curved arm to the leaf fixing using the studs and safety rings.
Close the gate, unlock the operators, and position the leaf arm fixing plate at the furthest point from the pillar by extending the arms to their maximum. Fix it using screws adapted to the leaf material.
Open the two leaves to the desired position. Then, place the limit switch part against the stop and screw in the M8 screw.
CABLE LIST
The necessary cables for the installation of the MAESTRO 300 may vary depending on the type and quantity of devices present. The figure below shows the necessary cables for a typical installation (no cables are supplied in the kit).
REPERE (Reference) | UTILITE (Use) | TYPE DE CABLE (Cable Type) | LONGUEUR MAXI (Max Length) |
---|---|---|---|
A | Ligne électrique d'alimentation (Power supply line) | Câble 3 x 1,5 mm² | 30 m (note 1) |
B | Sortie clignotant (Flashing light output) | Câble 2 x 0,5 mm² | 20 m |
C | Antenne radio (Radio antenna) | câble blindé RG 58 (note2) | inférieur à 5m (less than 5m) |
D | Entrée/ sortie cellules (Safety sensor input/output) | câble 2 x 0,5 mm² (note 3) | 20 m (note 3) |
E | Entrée STOP (STOP input) | câble 2 x 0,5 mm² (note 3) | 20 m (note 3) |
F | Entrée OPEN (OPEN input) | câble 2 x 0,5 mm² (note 3) | 20 m (note 3) |
G | Alim moteur M1 et M2 (Motor power M1 and M2) | câble 3 x 1 mm² | 10 m |
ATTENTION! - The cables used must be adapted to the installation type, for example, a H03VV-F type cable is recommended for indoor installation or H07 RN-F for outdoor installation.
Note 1: It is possible to use a power supply cable longer than 30 m, provided it has a larger cross-section, for example 3 x 2.5 mm², and that the grounding is done near the automation system.
Note 2: RG 58 cable is a 52 Ohm impedance antenna cable used in radio; if unavailable, a TV antenna cable can be used.
Note 3: For ECS bus, STOP, and OPEN cables, there are no particular contraindications to using a single cable that groups multiple connections.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Make the electrical connections of the various components according to the diagram below. This operation must be performed with the power off.
Connecting a video door phone or intercom: It is possible to control your automation system via an intercom or video door phone. This control should be done via its dry contact output, which should be connected to the OPEN terminal of your control board in parallel with the key switch, if present.
Connecting the photocell lighting module: It is possible to connect a lighting module to the photocells for better visibility of the passage. Attention: These modules must be connected in place of the flashing light. You will need to modify the parameters of the flashing output (see table 3 on page 12 of the manual).
STARTUP
- Power the control logic and wait a few seconds. Verify that the (A) ECS bus LED flashes regularly.
- Press and hold the P2 button (C) for 5 seconds (LED B will flash).
- At the end of the recognition, the STOP LED should remain lit while LED P2 (B) should turn off.
- With the motors still disengaged, manually open the two leaves to 10° and 20°, and then engage the motors.
- Press and hold the P3 button (B) for 5 seconds.
- Wait for the control logic to execute the opening and closing angle recognition phase: Closing leaf 2, then closing leaf 1. Opening of the two leaves. Closing of the two leaves.
- If LED A flashes at the end of the procedure, it indicates an error. Refer to the "troubleshooting" section of the technical manual.
⚠️ If the first movement of one or both leaves is not a closing movement, press P3 (B) to stop the recognition phase, then invert the polarity of the motor(s) that started to open by swapping the cables connected to the M+ and M- terminals. Restart the recognition procedure.
⚠️ If the first leaf to move in closing is not leaf 2, press P3 (B) to stop the recognition phase, then swap the two M1 and M2 terminals. Restart the recognition procedure.
SETTINGS
Choosing the operating speed: To switch from fast speed to slow speed, briefly press the P2 button (fast operation if LED A is lit, slow if it is off).
Choosing the closing mode: To switch from automatic mode to semi-automatic mode, briefly press the P3 button (automatic closing if LED A is lit, semi-automatic if it is off).
