Komfovent VERSO Standard & RHP Standard: Outdoor Accessory Installation Guide
General Information
Komfovent VERSO Standard and RHP Standard air handling units are not suitable for installation in outdoor areas without additional modification. Units intended for outdoor installation must be fixed to a base frame, and air dampers must be installed on the duct connections. The Air Handling Unit (AHU) must be protected from weather influences by installing dedicated roofs and hoods. If possible, it is recommended to install the unit near walls for extra protection from the wind.
Key components mentioned:
- 1: AHU (Air Handling Unit)
- 2: Hoods
- 3: Roof
- 4: Base frame
- 5: Air dampers on the room side (recommended)
- 6: Outdoor air closing dampers (mandatory)
⚠️ Important Notes:
- Connections of outdoor units must be additionally sealed (sealant not included).
- If the outdoor unit will be switched off during the cold season, supply and extract air ducts (on the indoor side) must be fitted with additional air shut-off dampers. These should prevent warm indoor air from circulating inside the unit when it is stopped, thereby avoiding condensation, which can be detrimental to electronic components.
Air intake and outlet hoods must be installed as far apart as possible (e.g., by installing additional duct segments between the AHU and the hood) to prevent exhaust air from returning to the air intakes.
Note: UAB KOMFOVENT reserves the right to make changes without prior notice.
Mounting of the Base Frame
This section details the installation of the base frame for outdoor units.
For VERSO CF 3500
- Assemble the base frame components using the provided fasteners. The diagram shows the frame structure and connection points.
- Attach the adjustable feet to the corners of the base frame. The feet are ordered separately. The diagram indicates a height adjustment range of 138-230 mm for the feet. A visual warning symbol (crossed out circle) indicates that lifting equipment should not be attached to the frame's eyelets.
- Slide the AHU onto the mounted base frame. An arrow indicates the direction of movement.
- Secure the AHU to the base frame using the designated fasteners.
⚠️ Note: It is prohibited to attach lifting equipment to the eyelets (labeled A) on the mounting frame. They are only intended to prevent lifting straps from slipping to the sides.
