Mounting and dimensional drawings

The following diagrams illustrate the mounting and dimensional details for OTM40, OTM63-125, and OTM30-125F_C_ models.

OTM40 / OTM63-125

Dimensions:

Note: Use protection against direct contact. For example, a 4 mm cover with 6 Nm torque.

OTM30-125F_C_

Dimensions:

Removal Diagram: Shows a three-step process (1, 2, 3) for removing a component.

Mounting positions

The motorized switches can be mounted in different positions, as illustrated in the diagrams.

Control Circuit

Warning: Only an authorized electrician may perform electrical installation and maintenance. Ensure the switch is de-energized before starting work.

The control circuit utilizes terminals for various functions:

Note: Do not apply power to the control terminal; use the correct terminal for power supply.

Diagrams show different wiring configurations for control circuits, including terminals for push buttons and automatic control units.

Manual operation: Local

Manual operation is performed using the handle. Electrical operation is prevented when the handle is attached to the switch panel.

Diagrams show the handle being attached (1 - CLICK!) and operated.

Electrical operation: Remote

Warning:

Diagrams illustrate remote electrical operation with different wiring and fuse configurations.

Automatic operation

The switch can be operated automatically, typically in conjunction with OMD controllers. Refer to OMD user manuals for detailed installation instructions.

Diagrams show the connection for automatic operation and the process for resetting the fuse.

Resetting Fuse

Diagrams illustrate the procedure for resetting the fuse, showing the location of the 'Fuse Reset' button.

Impulse control

This mode allows for impulse commands to change the switch position. Commands are typically longer than 100 ms.

Diagrams show the timing for I-command, II-command, and 0-command, illustrating the switch's response in terms of position changes.

Note: If a new command is given before the switch reaches the previous position, internal protection may operate.

Continuous control

This mode allows for continuous commands to change the switch position.

Diagrams show the timing for I-command, II-command, and 0-command, illustrating the switch's response in terms of position changes.

Locking

Warning: Prevent manual and electrical operation. Locking is possible at any position. Check the position before locking.

Diagrams show the process of locking the switch using a padlock with a diameter of Ø4...5mm.

State information

Diagrams illustrate the different states of the switch (OFF, ON) and their corresponding terminal configurations and indicator lights (e.g., green for ON, red for OFF).

Technical data

Motor operator, control circuit:

Terminal for state information:

Control terminal for automatic control unit (If used OMD controller):

Operating temperature: -25... +55 °C

Transportation and storage temperature: -40... +70 °C

Altitude: Max. 2000m

Terminal clamp sets: OZX_

These sets are used for connecting cables to the motorized switches.

OZX_

OTM63-125F_C: Uses OZXT2, OZXT3.

Diagrams show the installation of OZXL1 and OZXT terminals.

Bridging bars: OMZC_

These bars are used for creating electrical connections between terminals.

OMZC03, OMZC003: For cable sizes 10...70mm² (8...2/0AWG).

OMZC04, OMZC004: For cable sizes 2.5...25mm² (14...4 AWG) and 2x2.5...16mm² (2x14...6 AWG).

Diagrams show the application of OMZC bars with different switch models (OTM40-125F_C, OTM40F_C).

Terminal shrouds: OTS_

These shrouds provide protection for the terminals.

Diagrams show the installation of OTS125T3 and OTS125T1 terminal shrouds on the switches.

Compatibility:

Auxiliary contact blocks: OA_

These blocks provide additional signaling and control functions.

OA_ blocks have NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed) contacts.

Types: OA 7G10, OA 1G01, OA 1G10, OA 8G01, OA2G11.

Installation: Diagrams show how to attach auxiliary contact blocks (max 2 per switch) to the OTM switches. OA2G11 is for 3-pole versions only.

Torque: 0.8 Nm (7 lb.-in.) for M3.5 screws.

Handle storage: OTVS0_

This accessory allows for storing the manual operation handle when not in use.

Diagrams show the attachment of the handle to the OTVS0 storage unit.

Fourth pole: OTP_

This accessory adds a fourth pole to the switch configuration.

Models: OTP860FP, OTPL60FP, OTPN60FP, OTPE60FP for OTM40; OTP8125FP, OTPL125FP, OTPN125FP, OTPE125FP for OTM63-125.

OTPD60FP / OTPD125FP are also mentioned.

Wiring examples are shown for different configurations, including neutral (N) and protective earth (PE) connections.

Cable sizes:

Diagrams show the installation of the fourth pole accessory.
