Funcionalidad La principal función de un casco es proteger su cabeza de un impacto en caso de accidente. Para ello, el casco rodea su cabeza con un conjunto de materiales diseñados para absorber y amortiguar la fuerza de impacto originada en un accidente. El casco también se diseña para aportarle confort durante la conducción a cierta velocidad y en diversas condiciones climatológicas. Sin embargo, todo casco conlleva algún inconveniente: El casco disminuye su sensibilidad auditiva, visión periférica y movilidad hasta cierto punto a la par que le aporta protección y confort. Ajuste Para una seguridad máxima, es vital que su casco MT HELMETS encaje en su cabeza, estando la correa de retención correctamente y firmemente ajustada. Con la barbilla firmemente sujetada, agarre la parte posterior del casco con ambas manos e intente rodar el casco hacia adelante. Si usted puede mover el casco hacia sus ojos, la talla no es correcta, por lo que pruebe una talla más pequeña de casco. 6 | Especificaciones Español Genesis SV Pantallas Las pantallas de los cascos MT proporcionan protección contra el clima, pequeños objetos voladores y el viento. Las pantallas tintadas están disponibles para proteger sus ojos de la luz solar excesiva. Sistema de ventilación Los sistemas de ventilación están diseñados y concebidos para maximizar su comodidad en una amplia gama de temperaturas. Familiarícese con las aperturas de ventilación de su casco. Algunos orificios de ventilación tienen varias posiciones, permitiendo una apertura y un cierre parcial, controlando así el flujo de aire de entrada y salida. LET'S GOOOO >>>>>>>> Especificaciones | 7 Genesis SV Español Sistema de retención Una vez que la correa de la barbilla está abierta, usted tiene que coger las dos secciones de la correa y mantenerlas ligeramente separadas con el fin de facilitar el paso de su cabeza. Al llevar a cabo este movimiento, se aconseja mantener las dos secciones de la correa apartadas de los pulgares para que estén correctamente colocadas. Posicionar correctamente las partes que componen el cierre y sujetarlas de acuerdo con las recomendaciones que sean apropiadas para las versiones. Compruebe que la tensión y por lo tanto el posicionamiento del casco sean correctos para todas las posiciones. Como quitarse el casco Libere el sistema de retención, mantenga las dos secciones ligeramente separadas como se explica en el apartado anterior y quítese el casco. 8 | Seguridad Español Genesis SV Como ajustar el sistema de cierre micrométrico El cierre micrométrico permite un fácil y preciso ajuste de la longitud de la correa. 1 Pase el extremo de la correa dentro del mecanismo micrométrico. 2 Arrastre la correa hasta que esté bien ajustada y colocada firme sobre la barbilla. 1 2 Advertencia. Nunca maneje sin haber cerrado y ajustado la correa del casco, para no comprometer el correcto funcionamiento del mismo. Seguridad | 9 Genesis SV Español Desmontaje de las almohadillas laterales Hay 3 broches de presión que sostienen las almohadillas laterales en el lugar. 1 Levante suavemente la almohadilla lateral, separándola de la calota, con el fin de soltar los broches de presión. 2 Sujete la almohadilla lateral por su centro y tire suavemente de la correa de la barbilla. 1 2 10 | Seguridad Español Genesis SV Instalación de las almohadillas laterales 1 Pase la correa por la abertura de la almohadilla al nivel de la mejilla. 2 Alinee y deslice completamente la placa de plástico de la almohadilla entre la calota y el EPS. 3 Sujete los 3 broches macho de la almohadilla lateral a los 3 broches hembra fijados en el interior de la calota y presione. 1 2 3 Seguridad | 11 Genesis SV Español Abatir la mentonera 1 Presione el gatillo localizado en la parte inferior frontal de la mentonera. 2 Mientras mantiene apretando dicho gatillo, levante la mentonera hasta el punto más elevado. 3 Deslice la pestaña lateral hacia arriba para bloquear la mentonera en dicha posición. 1 2 3 12 | Mentonera Español Genesis SV Cerrar la mentonera 1 Deslice la pestaña lateral hacia abajo para desbloquear la mentonera. 2 Baje la mentonera hasta que oiga que gatillo inferior haga clic. 1 2 Mentonera | 13 Genesis SV Español Funcionamiento de la pantalla La visera tiene la característica de cerrarse con un sellado anti entrada de aire óptimo. 1 Empuje hacía arriba la pantalla para que quede abierta. 2 Baje la pantalla hasta escuchar un clic para dejarla nuevamente cerrada. 1 2 Funcionamiento de la pantalla solar 1 Empuje hacia arriba la pestaña lateral que encontrara en el lado izquierdo del casco para que aparezca la pantalla solar. 2 Empuje hacia abajo la pestaña lateral que encontrara en el lado izquierdo del casco para esconder la pantalla solar. 1 2 14 | Pantalla Español Genesis SV Desmontar la pantalla 1 Levante la pantalla hasta su posición elevada máxima. 2 Deslice el mecanismo de accionamiento hacia abajo para liberar la pantalla. 1 2 Montar la pantalla 1 Alinee la pantalla con la posición de montaje. 2 Presione la pantalla hasta que oiga un clic. 1 2 Pantalla | 15 Genesis SV Español Desmontar la pantalla solar 1 Active la gafa solar y suba la pantalla transparente. 2 Presione desde dentro hacia afuera sin miedo para sacar la gafa solar. 1 2 Montar la pantalla solar 1 Asegúrese que el mecanismo de la gafa solar está en posición correcta. 2 Inserte la gafa solar en los mismos alojamientos que se han quitado hasta escuchar un "clic". 1 2 16 | Pantalla Español Genesis SV Funcionamiento de las entradas de aire frontales 1 Deslizar suavemente hacia abajo la pestaña del mecanismo de bloqueo de entrada de aire para activar el flujo de aire entrante. 2 Deslizar suavemente hacia arriba, hasta escuchar un clic, la pestaña del mecanismo de bloqueo de entrada de aire para desactivar el flujo de aire entrante. 1 2 Funcionamiento de la entrada de aire superior 1 Deslizar suavemente hacia atrás la pestaña del mecanismo de bloqueo de entrada de aire para activar el flujo de aire entrante. 2 Deslizar suavemente hacia delante, hasta escuchar un clic, la pestaña del mecanismo de bloqueo de entrada de aire para desactivar el flujo de aire entrante. 1 2 Ventilaciones | 17 Genesis SV Español Mantenimiento Ningún componente de su casco MT HELMETS puede ser dañado por el agua. Lávelo con un detergente suave en agua tibia y déjelo secar al aire libre. Se recomienda lavar a mano. No coloque piezas de revestimiento en la secadora: el exceso de calor puede dañar la espuma y los revestimientos. La pantalla puede limpiarse con jabón suave y agua. La calota de su casco debe limpiarse con agua. Advertencias No circule sin haber previamente sujetado su casco con atención. No limpie su casco con productos derivados del petróleo, solventes, benceno, diluyentes o productos de limpieza abrasivos. No pinte su casco, de lo contrario su garantía quedará invalidada. No deje caer su casco desde cualquier altura sobre una superficie dura. Esto podría causar daños en el acabado de su casco y/o disminuir su capacidad para protegerlo. No coloque su casco en el espejo retrovisor de su motocicleta: la fuerte presión del borde del retrovisor comprime y daña el revestimiento amortiguador del casco. No coloque su casco en el asiento de la motocicleta o en el tanque de combustible. Podría rodar fácilmente y golpear el suelo causando un daño irreparable. Lo más adecuado es colocar el casco en una superficie plana o en su defecto, sobre el suelo para que no pueda rodar ni caer. No utilizar su casco si la pantalla está rayada. Esto puede afectar su visión, especialmente durante una conducción nocturna. No modifique ninguna parte de su casco, no taladre la calota, ni corte o presione el revestimiento amortiguador. La instalación de sistemas de sonido, altavoces y micrófonos reduce la capacidad de su casco para protegerlo por lo que no se recomienda. No vuelva a usar su casco si se ha caído o ha estado involucrado en un accidente. Reemplácelo incluso si el daño no es visible a simple vista. No use viseras oscuras o teñidas en condiciones de conducción oscuras o de mala visibilidad. No coloque los interiores ni las almohadillas en la secadora después del lavado. Deje que se seque al aire libre. No intente quitar, cambiar o reemplazar la pantalla mientras conduce su motocicleta. Los acabados fluorescentes y/o brillantes se desvanecen con el tiempo y la exposición a la luz solar. Esto es normal y no está cubierto por la garantía. Purpose The main function of a helmet is to protect your head from impact in the event of an accident. However, there is a downside to every helmet: it decreases your hearing sensitivity, peripheral vision and mobility to some extent, while providing protection and comfort. Fit For maximum safety, it is vital that your MT HELMETS helmet fits properly on your head, with the retention strap correctly and securely fastened. Keep your chin firmly in place, grasp the back of the helmet with both hands and try to roll the helmet forward. If you can move the helmet towards your eyes, the size is not correct, so try a smaller one. 20 | Product Details English Genesis SV Shield/Visor MT helmet shields provide protection against the weather, small flying objects and wind. Tinted visors are available to protect your eyes from excessive sunlight. Additionally, the helmet's internal sun visor allows for an immediate adjustment of light intensity. Caution! Never use a smoked or darkened shield/visor in low-visibility riding. Not only is it unsafe, it is also illegal in many countries. Never use a shield/visor that is scratched or wet with condensation. MT Helmets shields are supplied with an anti-scratch treatment. Ventilation System Ventilation systems are designed and engineered to maximize your comfort in a wide range of temperatures. Explore the air vents on your helmet. Some vents have multiple positions, allowing partial opening and partial closing, thus controlling airflow in and out. Helmet ventilation systems should be kept in good condition, and free of dirt, insects or other items that may interfere with proper airflow. Good airflow plays an important role, especially during physical effort or in hot weather. Optimum ventilation also helps reduce the possibility of fogging up the visor. Caution! The aeroacoustic values may vary depending on the type of motorcycle, clothing, position and size of the body. LET'S GOOOO >>>>>>>> Product Details | 21 Genesis SV English Retention System Once the chinstrap is opened, you need to take both sections of the strap and keep them slightly separated in order to facilitate the passage of your head. When performing this movement, it is recommended to keep the two sections of the strap away from your thumbs so that they are properly positioned. Position the parts that make up the retention system and secure them according to the appropriate recommendations for each the helmet. Check that the tension, and therefore the positioning of the helmet, is correct. How to take off your helmet Release the retention chinstrap, hold the two sections slightly apart as explained in the previous paragraph and remove the helmet. 22 | Safety English Genesis SV How to adjust the micrometric closure system The micrometric closure allows for easy and precise adjustment of the chinstrap length. 1 Pass the end of the strap into the micrometric mechanism. 2 Drag the strap until it is snug and firmly positioned on the chin. 1 2 Warning. Do not wear the helmet without securing and adjusting the chinstrap beforehand, as this can affect its ability to function correctly. Safety | 23 Genesis SV English Removing the side pads There are 3 snaps that hold the side pads in place. 1 Gently lift the side pad away from the shell in order to release the snaps. 2 Grasp the side pad from its centre and gently pull on the chinstrap. 1 2 24 | Safety English Genesis SV Installing the side pads 1 Pass the strap through the opening of the pad at cheek level. 2 Align and slide the plastic cheek pad plate into place between the shell and the EPS. 3 Attach the 3 male snaps of the side pad to the 3 female snaps on the inside of the shell and press them together. 1 2 3 Safety | 25 Genesis SV English Opening the Chin Bar 1 Press the trigger located at the lower front part of the chin bar. 2 While holding down this trigger, lift the chin bar to its highest point. 3 Move the side tab up to lock the chin bar in that position. 1 2 3 26 | Chin Bar English Genesis SV Closing the Chin Bar 1 Move the side tab down to unlock the chin bar. 2 Lower the chin bar until you hear the lower trigger click. 1 2 Chin Bar | 27 Genesis SV English Shield/Visor operation The shield closes with an optimal airtight seal. 1 Push the shield upward to ensure that it is in the open position. 2 Lower the shield until you hear a click, confirming that it is sealed again. 1 2 Sun Visor operation 1 Push up the side tab located on the left side of the helmet to deploy the sun visor. 2 Push down the side tab located on the left side of the helmet to retract the sun visor. 1 2 28 | Shield/Visor English Genesis SV Disassembling the Shield/Visor 1 Lift up the shield to its maximum raised position. 2 Slide the actioning mechanism down to release the shield. 1 2 Assembling the Shield/Visor 1 Align the shield with the mounting position. 2 Press the shield until you hear a click. 1 2 Shield/Visor | 29 Genesis SV English Sun Visor Removal 1 Activate the sun visor and raise the clear screen. 2 Press from inside outwards firmly to remove the sun visor. 1 2 Installing the Sun Visor 1 Ensure that the sun visor mechanism is in the correct position. 2 Insert the sun visor into the same slots from which it was removed until you hear a "click". 1 2 30 | Shield/Visor English Genesis SV Operation of the front air inlets 1 Slide down the air intake lock mechanism to activate the incoming airflow. 2 Slide it upwards until you hear a click, to deactivate the incoming airflow. 1 2 Operation of the upper air inlets 1 Slide backwards the air intake lock mechanism to activate the incoming airflow. 2 Slide it forwards until you hear a click, to deactivate the incoming airflow. 1 2 Ventilations | 31 Genesis SV English Maintenance No component of your helmet can be damaged by water. Wash it with a mild detergent in lukewarm water and let it air dry. It is recommended to wash by hand. Do not place liner parts in the dryer: excess heat can damage the foam and liners. The shield can be cleaned with mild soap and water. The shell of your helmet should be cleaned with water. Warnings Do not ride without first carefully fastening your helmet. Do not clean your helmet with petroleum products, solvents, benzene, thinners or abrasive cleaning products. Do not paint your helmet, otherwise your warranty will be invalidated. Do not drop your helmet from any height onto a hard surface. This may cause damage to the finish of your helmet and/or diminish its protective qualities. Do not place your helmet on the mirror of your motorcycle: the strong pressure from the edge of the mirror compresses and damages the shock absorbing liner of the helmet. Do not place your helmet on the motorcycle seat or fuel tank. It could easily roll off and hit the ground causing irreparable damage. It is best to place the helmet on a flat surface or, failing that, on the ground so that it cannot roll or fall. Do not use your helmet if the shield is scratched. This can affect your vision, especially when riding at night. Do not modify any part of your helmet, drill holes in the shell, or cut or press on the shock absorbing liner. The installation of sound systems, loudspeakers and microphones reduces the ability of your helmet to protect you and is therefore not recommended. Do not reuse your helmet if it has been dropped or involved in an accident. Replace it even if the damage is not visible to the naked eye. Do not wear dark or tinted shields/visors in dark or poor visibility riding conditions. Do not place interiors or pads in the dryer after washing. Allow to air dry. Do not attempt to remove, change or replace the shield while riding your motorcycle. Fluorescent and/or glossy finishes fade over time and with exposure to sunlight.
