Mamas & Papas Loved For Life: Second-Hand Refurbished Pushchairs

Campaign Overview

Mamas & Papas is continuing its sustainability support by selling pre-loved Pushchairs and carry-cots through the "Loved for Life" Campaign. These items have been previously used and traded in by customers.

The Campaign is available in selected stores for trade-in and purchasing of pre-loved Pushchairs, subject to stock availability. Mamas & Papas reserves the right to amend selected stores or end the Campaign at any time.

In case of a surplus of trade-in pushchairs, Mamas & Papas may suspend the Campaign and trade-in portal access until the surplus reduces.

Trade-in Your Pushchair and Carry-cot

Customers can trade in their pre-loved Mamas & Papas pushchairs and carry-cots for Mamas & Papas vouchers, issued as a gift card.

For this Campaign, the following pushchair models are accepted for trade-in, subject to inspection: Ocarro, Flip XT2, and Flip XT3, including their corresponding Mamas & Papas carry-cots. Effective March 10, 2025, Strada and Airo pushchairs, as well as the Airo newborn pack, will no longer be accepted for trade-in.

Carry-cots must be from the same pushchair model with a matching finish to be accepted. Individual carry-cots are not accepted.

Effective July 14, 2025, footmuffs can be traded in with a qualifying Pushchair (as listed in clause 5). However, no monetary value will be received for trading in a footmuff.

Qualifying Pushchairs

To trade in a Pushchair, customers should visit the Mamas & Papas "Loved for Life" page on their website: here. Questions about the pushchair's condition will determine its eligibility for trade-in.

If a Pushchair qualifies, an email confirmation will be sent to arrange an in-store appointment. Customers can check which stores offer trade-in and will be contacted prior to their appointment. Appointment dates or times can be amended via a provided link.

During the in-store appointment, a Mamas & Papas colleague will inspect the Pushchair to confirm its condition matches the provided answers. If the condition is satisfactory, a Mamas & Papas gift card will be issued with the agreed trade-in value.

If the pushchair's condition does not meet the required standards, Mamas & Papas reserves the right to refuse the trade-in. This decision is at Mamas & Papas' discretion and is final.

Mamas & Papas apologises if a pushchair does not qualify for trade-in. Due to re-store and re-sale standards, not all potential trade-in pushchairs can be accepted. Mamas & Papas cannot dispose of non-qualifying pushchairs; this remains the customer's responsibility.

Purchasing a Pre-loved Pushchair and Carry-Cot

Pre-loved Pushchairs undergo reconditioning by a specialist service centre, including a service and full valet, to ensure they are safe, hygienic, and ready for use.

Refurbishment includes fitting new parts such as a harness, under basket, PBC rain cover, and four new wheels, ensuring products are compliant and safe.

If a footmuff was traded in and can be restored to a resaleable standard, it will be included in the pre-loved Pushchair bundle. However, inclusion is not guaranteed and is subject to the footmuff's condition.

Purchases of "Loved for Life" items can only be made in-person in-store.

Pushchairs are sold as seen, with accessories and parts as displayed in-store. Bundles, including the pushchair and carrycot, must be sold together; individual items or accessories cannot be sold separately.

Payment for a pre-loved pushchair must be made in full on the day of purchase. Deposits are not accepted under this Campaign.

In-Store Purchases

Pushchairs are limited to the designs (model and colourway) and stock numbers available at each store. They cannot be ordered between stores or reserved. Purchases are limited to available stock on a particular day and cannot be reserved or ordered online.

The Mamas & Papas outlet store at their head office in Huddersfield stocks pre-loved Pushchairs year-round.

In cases of duplicated or excess demand, the store manager's decision on the purchaser is final, based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Warranty

Effective January 20, 2025, all Mamas & Papas' Loved for Life Pushchairs come with a 12-month warranty. Pushchairs purchased before January 20, 2025, have a 6-month warranty. The new product manufacturing guarantee does not apply to these Campaign pushchairs.

Returns for reasons of condition, other than statutory rights, are not permitted.

The availability, offer, and terms & conditions of the Campaign are at the full discretion of Mamas & Papas and may be varied without notice.

Pushchair Trade-in

1) Why might I want to trade-in my Pushchair?

The Trade-In service is a great way to ensure your Pushchair gets a second life and the chance to go on new adventures with another family. In return, you'll receive Mamas & Papas vouchers and the satisfaction of doing a good deed by sparing your Pushchair from landfill.

2) Is the trade-in available on any type of Pushchair?

Currently, Mamas & Papas accepts the following Pushchair models for trade-in: Ocarro, Flip XT2, and Flip XT3, including their carry-cots. Customers can also trade-in footmuffs from these models, though without monetary value. Effective March 10, 2025, Strada and Airo pushchairs will no longer be accepted for trade-in.

3) Can I trade-in my carrycot?

Yes, your carrycot can be traded in alongside your Pushchair, provided it is compatible with the Pushchair model and has a matching finish. Carrycots will not be accepted without a compatible Pushchair, and Airo newborn packs are not accepted.

4) Can I trade-in my footmuff accessory?

Yes, customers can trade-in footmuffs from the accepted Pushchair models. However, there is no monetary value for trading in a footmuff.

5) What will I receive in return for my trade-in?

Trading in an eligible carrycot will provide an additional £10 in vouchers. Footmuffs are accepted but have no monetary value.

6) Do I have to have purchased the Pushchair from you originally?

No, the origin of purchase does not matter, as long as your Pushchair is one of the accepted models (Ocarro, Flip XT2, and Flip XT3).

7) Does my pushchair need to be in warranty to trade-in?

No, Mamas & Papas accepts Pushchairs of any age, regardless of warranty status.

8) What condition does my Pushchair need to be in?

Your pushchair must meet the following conditions:

• The chassis can fold and lock securely.
• The brakes can engage and release properly.
• The seat unit's moving parts are working, and there is no damage to the plastic.
• Fabrics are not ripped or split, and zips and press studs are in good working condition.

9) What condition does my carrycot need to be in?

The carrycot will be accepted if its fabrics are not ripped or split, the press studs are in good condition, and the base is not cracked or snapped.

11) Do I have to make a booking to trade-in my Pushchair?

Yes, making a booking is essential to ensure a store team member is available to check your Pushchair's condition and issue your voucher. You can book an appointment online via the Mamas & Papas website's Campaign page.

12) What if I can't make my appointment?

If you cannot make your appointment, please amend your booking using the link in your confirmation email or contact the store directly. This can be done at any time, at no cost.

13) Is there a chance my pushchair will be rejected?

Your pushchair's condition is assessed during the booking process, a pre-appointment call, and the in-store inspection. If the answers provided are correct and the pushchair meets the specified condition, it should be accepted. However, rejection may occur if the pushchair does not meet the criteria upon arrival at the store.

14) Do I have to spend my vouchers in store on the day of trade-in?

No, your vouchers are issued on a gift card, valid for 2 years from the date of issue, allowing you to spend them at your convenience. Store staff can assist with purchases on the day.

15) Do you accept other products other than Pushchairs for trade-in?

Currently, Mamas & Papas only offers trade-in on the specified Pushchair models.

16) What will happen to my Pushchair once I have traded it in?

Your Pushchair will be returned to a specialist service centre for necessary repairs and a full valet and service. It will then be resold to a new home.

Availability is subject to stock at each particular store on a given day. The Huddersfield outlet store offers pre-loved pushchairs year-round.

18) Can I put a deposit down to reserve a Pushchair?

No, for this Campaign and for pre-loved pushchairs, payment must be made in full, and deposits are not accepted for reservations.

19) Do all pushchair bundles come with a carrycot and accessories?

Not all pushchair bundles include a carrycot and accessories. Mamas & Papas will endeavour to show what is included in the bundle. If a footmuff was traded in and restored to a resaleable standard, it will be included in the bundle, but this is not guaranteed.

20) Is there an option to leave out items or accessories from a pushchair bundle that I do not need or have use for?

No, the pushchair bundle will show all included accessories. Singular items or accessories cannot be sold separately; the bundle must be purchased as a whole.

21) What if I see a Pushchair bundle that I like but want it in a different colour?

The Pushchair available for purchase is the model and colourway shown in the picture; different colour options are not available.

22) How can you ensure that the pre-loved pushchairs are safe and be ready to use again?

Mamas & Papas' specialist service centre reconditions pre-loved Pushchairs, performing a service and full valet. They are thoroughly checked to ensure they are safe and hygienic. Refurbishment is extensive, with products being compliant and safe for use. All refurbished Pushchairs receive a new harness, under basket, PBC rain cover, and four new wheels. Further new parts may be fitted to ensure compliance and safety.
