System Overview
The ZEISS STEREO Discovery.V8 offers exceptional flexibility with its modular design. Users can configure the system with ergotubes, coaxial illumination, a second observer bridge, and intermediate tubes for drawing, photography, and fluorescence. This system provides a strong 3D impression of specimens, with a parfocal 8:1 zoom ensuring sharp images across the entire magnification range. Selectable click stops facilitate reproducible measurements.
The robust 450 stand is designed for stability and vibration resistance, and features a spacious sample chamber suitable for large stages.

- VisiLED ring lights with segmenting function allow seamless switching between ring light and lateral oblique light. Users can rotate the oblique light around the object and adjust the light for a spatial impression in the live image.
- The CL6000 LED and CL9000 LED fiber optic cold light sources deliver intense, homogeneous illumination. Their long LED service life eliminates the need for bulb changes. A wide range of light guides and accessories ensures clear highlighting of object structures.
- Various photo tubes are available for digital photo and video cameras, as well as high-resolution Axiocam microscope cameras from ZEISS.
- The S/doc objective slider or objective turret allows users to move objectives under the right stereo channel, providing parallax-free images for vertical viewing and z-stack acquisition.
