Product Overview

1.1 Product Introduction

This product adheres to mainstream automotive industry standards and is compatible with many automotive manufacturers that support the J2534 automotive communication protocol, including Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda, and Ford, among others. By installing the original diagnostic software that supports the J2534 vehicle communication protocol on a computer, users can connect the MVCI PRO J2534 vehicle diagnostic programming cable between the vehicle and the computer. This setup enables vehicle diagnosis, programming, and other functions, serving as an alternative to original diagnostic devices. The MVCI PRO J2534 vehicle diagnosis programming cable supports a variety of original diagnostic software, such as Volkswagen (with PDU protocol support), Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Ford, and Mazda.

The MVCI PRO-J2534 vehicle diagnosis programming cable connects the vehicle and the computer. The signal LED on the device indicates its status:

• Red and green flashing alternately: Indicates that the firmware is abnormal and requires an update.
• Solid red light: Indicates that the device cannot be used and requires authorization update.
• Solid yellow light: Indicates that the vehicle OBD voltage is not detected.
• Solid green light: Indicates that the OBD voltage is detected.

Use Tutorial

1. Please download and install the original diagnostic software on the computer. The original software must support J2534. (Note: The original software typically needs to be downloaded by users from other channels. Some brands offer specialized J2534 diagnostic software. Refer to the official manufacturer's data for details.)
2. Please download and install the MVCI PRO-J2534 software on your computer from the following address: http://dl.xhorse.net.cn/p/vd06
3. Connect the OBD interface of the MVCI PRO-J2534 vehicle diagnosis programming cable to the vehicle, and connect the USB interface to the computer. The computer must have both the MVCI PRO-J2534 software and the original diagnostic software installed.

4. After connecting, click [Connect Device] in the MVCI PRO-J2534 software. Upon successful connection, you can view device information, including firmware version number and serial number.
5. The [Read authorization] function allows you to view the current device authorization status and available times. (Note: If the number of available times is 0, most functions will be limited.)
6. The [Update authorization] function enables you to update the latest authorization status of the device and reset the available times.

5. Install the required drivers for the corresponding vehicle brand within the MVCI PRO-J2534 software under [Vehicle diagnosis]. After successful installation, you can operate the original diagnostic software.
6. In the MVCI PRO-J2534 software, navigate to [Upgrade] to view current version information and update software and firmware.
7. In the MVCI PRO-J2534 software, access [System setting] to switch software language, enable operation logs, and save operation logs.

Warranty and After-sales Instructions

The warranty period for the MVCI PRO-J2534 vehicle diagnosis programming cable is one year, commencing from the date on the transaction voucher. If there is no transaction voucher or it is lost, the factory date recorded by the manufacturer will prevail.

Free warranty is not available in the following cases:

• Failure to use the device according to the requirements specified in this manual.
• The device is damaged due to self-repair or modification.
• Machine failure caused by dropping, collision, or improper voltage.
• The device is damaged due to force majeure.
• Machine failure or damage caused by prolonged use in harsh environments or on vehicles or ships.
• The device cover or shell is dirty and worn due to use.
