System Overview

The RC5-CW4 system from Sound Control Technologies facilitates the transmission of Power, Control, and Video over a single CAT cable. This application guide illustrates the setup for integrating with Cisco video conferencing equipment.

Components and Connections

The system involves the following key components:

Cisco Webex PTZ 4K Camera: The video source.
RC5-CETM Camera End: Connects to the camera via HDMI, RJ45 (for control), and DC power.
RC5-HETM Head End: Connects to the codec via HDMI and RJ45 (for control).
SCTLink™ Cable: A single, point-to-point CAT5e/CAT6 STP/UTP cable (T568A or T568B) used for power, control, and video transmission. It must not have couplers or interconnections.
WPS-12 30VDC Power Supply: Provides power to the system.

SCTLink™ Cable Specifications

The SCTLink™ cable is an integrator-supplied CAT5e/CAT6 STP/UTP cable, with a recommended length between 10m and 100m.
