Elite™ Android Quick Start Guide for Zello

Initial Setup and Configuration
- Before plugging your Elite™ speaker-microphone (SM) into the Android device, set the configuration to 3 by pressing the rear button for 4 seconds. The SM will then beep twice in quick succession.
- The SM will beep and flash a red LED a number of times equal to the current configuration.
- If the SM indicates configuration 3, no further action is needed. After 4 seconds, the SM will beep twice in quick succession, indicating it is ready for use.
- If the SM indicates a configuration other than 3, press the rear button 3 times. The SM will then beep and flash the LED 3 times as confirmation. After 4 seconds, the SM will beep twice in quick succession, indicating it is ready for use.
- Plug the SM into the device. Launch Zello and tap the 3 dots in the upper-right corner, then select Options.
- Navigate to Push-to-talk buttons > PTT Headset. Choose PTT Headset and enable 'Handle button in the background when possible'.
Note for Zello For Work Users: This may need to be configured in the administration portal. - Disable Google Assistant as it can interfere with Zello and wired accessories. In the Settings app, navigate to Google > All Services > Search, Assistant & Voice > Google Assistant > General, and disable the Google Assistant toggle.
- Navigate back to the previous menu and select Devices. Select Wired headphones and disable 'Get Help From Google'.
Note: This setting may only appear after the SM has been connected for the first time.
