Temperature Control UI Location
The Temperature Control UI is located on the side of the left refrigerator door. The water and ice dispenser, and additional features are located on the Control UI above the dispenser.
Initial Temperature Settings
When you first install your refrigerator, ensure the temperature controls are set to the recommended set points: 37°F (3°C) for the refrigerator and 0°F (−18°C) for the freezer.
Important Notes on Temperature Control
- The recommended settings are suitable for normal household refrigerator use. Controls are set correctly when milk or juice is as cold as desired and ice cream is firm.
- Areas such as a garage, basement, or porch may have higher humidity or extreme temperatures. Adjustments away from recommended settings may be needed.
- When power is on, the temperature display shows the set point temperature of the compartment.
- Wait 24 hours for the refrigerator to cool completely before adding food. Adding food too soon may cause spoilage.
- Adjusting controls to a colder setting will not cool compartments faster.
- If temperatures are too warm or too cold, check air vents for blockages before adjusting controls.
- Wait at least 24 hours between adjustments and recheck temperatures.
Temperature Control UI
The Temperature Control UI allows adjustment of refrigerator and freezer temperatures, and activation of special modes.

Water Filter Status
The Water Filter Status indicator shows the filter's condition.
- The ⚠️ "Replace Filter" icon illuminates and blinks during dispensing when the rated water volume has passed or 6 months have elapsed. A new filter should be installed immediately.
- After 14 days at the "Replace Filter" stage, the icon glows continuously and blinks during dispensing. An alert chime sounds 3 times. The water filter should be replaced at least every 6 months.
- To reset the water filter status: Touch 'Pantry' and 'Wi-Fi' simultaneously for 3 seconds.
Power Outage Mode
The ⚡ "Power Outage" indicator alerts you if the refrigerator lost power and the freezer temperature rose.
The display will read "Power Outage" and an alert tone will sound 3 times. Touch any button to stop the tone and turn off the icon. The icon disappears once power is restored.
Sabbath, Vacation, and Lock Modes
Press and hold the "Mode" button for 3 seconds to toggle between Sabbath, Vacation, Lock, and normal use modes.
Sabbath Mode (? Sabbath)
Designed for energy saving while maintaining food freshness. Freezer and refrigerator set points remain unchanged. The word "Sabbath" lights up on the display.
In Sabbath mode, dispensing and temperature adjustments are disabled. Interior lighting and control panels are inactive.
Vacation Mode (✈️ Vacation)
Use when going on vacation. The refrigerator compartment temperature is set to 55°F (12.8°C), while the freezer temperature remains unchanged. Opening a door or interacting with the UI will exit Vacation mode.
Showroom Mode (?️ Showroom)
Deactivates all functions except interior lighting. Used for retail display or when cooling is not desired. The "Showroom" icon lights up.
Empty the ice maker if the refrigerator will be turned off for an extended period.
To enter/exit Showroom mode: Press and hold 'Fridge' and 'Freezer' buttons for 5 seconds.
Fast Cool / Fast Freeze
The Fast Cool feature is useful during periods of high refrigerator use, large grocery loads, or temporarily warm room temperatures.
- To activate: Press and hold the 'Fridge/Freezer' button for 3 seconds. The 'Fast Cool' and 'Fast Freeze' icons will blink 3 times and appear on the display.
- The feature remains active for 24 hours unless manually turned off. Adjusting the refrigerator temperature automatically turns off Fast Cool/Fast Ice.
- To manually turn off: Press and hold the 'Fridge/Freezer' button for 3 seconds. The display will blink 3 times and turn off.
Setting the freezer to a colder temperature may make some foods, like ice cream, harder.
