System Description

The 3622N provides smooth and accurate reproduction of cinema soundtracks in a compact and very cost effective system. The system is comprised of two parts: the 3622-HF high-frequency pack and the 3639 low-frequency system.

The 3622-HF high-frequency pack features the JBL 2418H-1, 44 mm (1.75 in) diaphragm compression driver, JBL 2374 ScreenArray horn and adjustable bracket. The ScreenArray horn features a patent pending design that compensates for high frequency spreading caused by perforated screens for greatly improved audience coverage. Together, these elements provide clear, accurate reproduction of the mid/high frequency information. All of these components come pre-assembled to reduce field assembly time thus reducing installation costs.

The 3639 dual 380 mm (15 in) low-frequency system uses JBL low frequency transducer technology for outstanding performance benefits. The JBL M115-8A 380 mm (15 in) transducer, with its ribbon wire voice coil, delivers low distortion and high efficiency.

The 3622N is a passive system utilizing a sophisticated crossover network. Developed using computer optimization technology, it provides seamless transition resulting in excellent power response and controlled directivity. These benefits coupled with the extended high frequency response provide the dynamic range and controlled coverage required by today's Cinema patron.

JBL continually engages in research related to product improvement. New materials, production methods and design refinements are introduced into existing products without notice as a routine expression of that philosophy. For this reason, any current JBL product may differ in some respect from its published description, but will always equal or exceed the original design specifications unless otherwise stated.
