Product Overview
This 2-port SATA III (6Gbps) controller with RAID enables users to add two SATA 6Gbps Hard Drives (HDDs) or Solid State Drives (SSDs) to their computer system or server via an available PCIe x2 card slot. It allows for the creation of a hardware RAID array. The card supports SATA III and PCI-Express 2.0 specifications and can also be used to connect optical disk drives (ODD) such as CD/DVD/Blu-ray drives.

Supported RAID Configurations
This RAID controller supports different hardware RAID configurations to meet specific application needs:
- RAID 0 (striped): Splits data evenly across both drives to increase read/write performance and the total volume storage capacity.
- RAID 1 (mirrored): Copies data identically onto both drives to provide data redundancy, ensuring data safety if one drive fails.
- SPAN (big): Combines both drives into a single array to increase the total volume storage capacity.
- JBOD (Just a bunch of disks): Exposes both drives as individual devices, allowing them to be treated independently.
