Installation Requirements

Ventilation

Ensure that ventilation openings in the base of the washing machine (if available on your model) are not obstructed by carpets or other materials.

Water Inlet Connections

The washing machine can have a single inlet (cold water only) or dual inlets (hot and cold water).

Ensure all connections are tightly fixed and that hot and cold inlets are not reversed.

Dimensions

The approximate dimensions of the appliance are 615 mm (width) x 855 mm (height).

Environmental Protection

The symbol on the product or accompanying documents indicates that this appliance must not be treated as household waste. Instead, it should be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Disposal must comply with local environmental regulations. For more information on treatment, recovery, and recycling, contact your local city office, household waste disposal service, or the shop where the product was purchased.

General Care and Maintenance

Clean the outside of the washing machine with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive detergents. Never open the door forcibly or use it as a step.

Description of the Washing Machine

Control panel layout and appearance may vary depending on the model.

Emergency Door Opening

In case of failure to open the door due to power outage or other special circumstances, the door lock lever located at the drainage pump door can be used for emergency opening.

Note:
  1. Do not operate when the machine is working normally.
  2. Before operation, ensure the inner drum has stopped rotating, is not hot, and the water level is below the clothing inlet. If the water level is high, drain water via the drain-away pipe (if available) or by slowly unscrewing the filter.
  3. Operation Method: Open the drainage pump door cover, use a tool to pull down the lock lever, and then the door can be opened. The lever is indicated in the figure.

Before the First Wash Cycle

To remove any residual water used during testing by the manufacturer, it is recommended to run a short wash cycle without laundry.

  1. Open the water tap.
  2. Close the door.
  3. Pour a small amount of detergent (approx. 30 ml) into the main wash chamber of the detergent dispenser.
  4. Select and start a short program (refer to the separate quick reference guide).

Preparation of Washing

Follow these steps before loading laundry:

  1. Sort Laundry:
    • By Type of Fabric / Care Label Symbol: Cottons, mixed fibres, easy care/synthetics, wool, handwash items.
    • By Colour: Separate coloured and white items. Wash new coloured articles separately.
  2. Loading: Wash items of different sizes in the same load to improve washing efficiency and distribution in the drum.
  3. Delicates: Wash small items (e.g., nylon stockings, belts) and items with hooks (e.g., bras) in a cloth bag or pillowcase with a zip. Always remove curtain rings or wash curtains with rings inside a cotton bag.
  4. Empty Pockets: Coins, safety pins, etc., can damage laundry as well as the appliance drum and tub.
  5. Fasteners: Close zips and fasten buttons or hooks. Tie loose belts or ribbons together.
  6. Stain Removal: Stains like blood, milk, and eggs are generally removed by the automatic enzyme phase of the program.

Detergent Drawer Usage

To use the detergent drawer correctly:

  1. Open the door.
  2. Press the release lever in the main wash compartment downward and remove the drawer (refer to figures C or E).
  3. Remove the siphon from the softener slot (refer to figures D or F).
  4. Refit the siphon in the detergent drawer and place the drawer back inside its housing.

Filter Cleaning

It is recommended to check and clean the filter regularly, at least two or three times a year, especially if the machine fails to perform spin cycles.

  1. Ensure the water has been drained.
  2. Insert a removal tool, like a slotted screwdriver, into the small opening of the bottom baffle. Press the bottom baffle downward firmly and open it.
  3. Place a flat container under the filter door. Drain residual water using the emergency drain pipe (refer to draining residual water instructions for specific methods).
  4. Loosen the filter anticlockwise, completely unscrew, and remove it.
  5. Clean the filter under running water.
  6. Reinsert the filter and screw it clockwise until tight.
  7. Close the filter door.

Supply Hose Check

Check the supply hose regularly for brittleness and cracks. Replace it if necessary with a new hose of the same type, available from After-Sales Service or a specialist dealer.

Ensure: All connections are tightly fixed.

Child Safety: Do not allow children to operate, crawl on, be near, or inside your washer. Note that the surface temperature of the porthole door may increase during wash cycles. Close supervision of children is necessary when the appliance is used near them.

Installation of Transport Bolts

Important: Transport bolts not removed can cause damage to the appliance.

Procedure:

  1. Screw off all transportation bolts using a wrench, following the direction of the arrow (approx. 30 mm, not fully screwed off).
  2. Push the four transportation bolts horizontally inward to loosen them.
  3. Pull out the transportation bolt together with its rubber and plastic parts.
  4. To ensure safety and reduce noise, install the supplied transportation bolt covers. Lean and place the cover into the hole and press until it clicks.

Appliance Placement and Leveling

The appliance must be installed on a solid and level floor surface. Use a spirit level if necessary.

Installation of Noise-Reduction Bottom Cover

To realize quieter operation, a bottom cover is supplied with some Hisense washers. Installing it greatly reduces noise. Consult specialists if unsure, though the machine can be used without it.

Noise-Reduction Bottom Plate Installation Instructions:

  1. Step A: Stick acoustic wool to the side of the bottom cover plate marked "PUMP". Tilt the washer by 30°-40°. When installing the cover, ensure the side with sound insulation faces upwards and attach the "PUMP" corner of the cover to the pump's position in the washer.
  2. Step B: Before installing the bottom plate, align and paste the acoustic absorption wool along the right-angle impression on the bottom plate (this step may be unnecessary for models without acoustic absorption wool).
  3. Remove the surface paper from the double-sided tape on the four sides of the bottom plate.
  4. Incline the machine to an angle of 40°. Position the side with the right-angle notch towards the front of the washing machine. Insert the side with the oblique-angle notch (Pump) between the two foot screws at the back of the washing machine until it is completely in place.
  5. Install the bottom plate, ensuring it contacts the bottom of the washing machine closely.
  6. Press the double-sided tape on the four sides manually to secure the noise-reduction plate firmly to the machine body.

Connecting the Drain Hose

Step 11: If the drain hose is installed as shown, unhook it only from the right clip.

Step 12: Connect the drain hose to the drain or hook it over the edge of a sink using the "U" bend. Fit the "U" bend (E), if not already installed, at the end of the drain hose.

Ensure:

Note: After the wash phase, the machine will drain hot water. Small hand basins are not suitable for draining. To extend the hose, use a hose of the same type and secure connections with clips. The maximum overall drain hose length is 2.50 m.
