Before the First Wash Cycle
To remove any residual water used during testing by the manufacturer, it is recommended to run a short wash cycle without laundry.
- Open the water tap.
- Close the door.
- Pour a small amount of detergent (approx. 30 ml) into the main wash chamber of the detergent dispenser.
- Select and start a short program (refer to the separate quick reference guide).
Preparation of Washing
Follow these steps before loading laundry:
- Sort Laundry:
- By Type of Fabric / Care Label Symbol: Cottons, mixed fibres, easy care/synthetics, wool, handwash items.
- By Colour: Separate coloured and white items. Wash new coloured articles separately.
- Loading: Wash items of different sizes in the same load to improve washing efficiency and distribution in the drum.
- Delicates: Wash small items (e.g., nylon stockings, belts) and items with hooks (e.g., bras) in a cloth bag or pillowcase with a zip. Always remove curtain rings or wash curtains with rings inside a cotton bag.
- Empty Pockets: Coins, safety pins, etc., can damage laundry as well as the appliance drum and tub.
- Fasteners: Close zips and fasten buttons or hooks. Tie loose belts or ribbons together.
- Stain Removal: Stains like blood, milk, and eggs are generally removed by the automatic enzyme phase of the program.
Detergent Drawer Usage
To use the detergent drawer correctly:
- Open the door.
- Press the release lever in the main wash compartment downward and remove the drawer (refer to figures C or E).
- Remove the siphon from the softener slot (refer to figures D or F).
- Refit the siphon in the detergent drawer and place the drawer back inside its housing.
Filter Cleaning
It is recommended to check and clean the filter regularly, at least two or three times a year, especially if the machine fails to perform spin cycles.
- Ensure the water has been drained.
- Insert a removal tool, like a slotted screwdriver, into the small opening of the bottom baffle. Press the bottom baffle downward firmly and open it.
- Place a flat container under the filter door. Drain residual water using the emergency drain pipe (refer to draining residual water instructions for specific methods).
- Loosen the filter anticlockwise, completely unscrew, and remove it.
- Clean the filter under running water.
- Reinsert the filter and screw it clockwise until tight.
- Close the filter door.
Supply Hose Check
Check the supply hose regularly for brittleness and cracks. Replace it if necessary with a new hose of the same type, available from After-Sales Service or a specialist dealer.

Appliance Placement and Leveling
The appliance must be installed on a solid and level floor surface. Use a spirit level if necessary.
- Wooden Floors: If installing on a wooden floor, distribute the weight by placing the appliance on a 60x60 cm sheet of plywood at least 3 cm thick and secure it to the floor.
- Uneven Floors: Adjust the 4 leveling feet as required. Do not insert pieces of wood or other materials under the feet.
Installation of Noise-Reduction Bottom Cover
To realize quieter operation, a bottom cover is supplied with some Hisense washers. Installing it greatly reduces noise. Consult specialists if unsure, though the machine can be used without it.
Noise-Reduction Bottom Plate Installation Instructions:
- Step A: Stick acoustic wool to the side of the bottom cover plate marked "PUMP". Tilt the washer by 30°-40°. When installing the cover, ensure the side with sound insulation faces upwards and attach the "PUMP" corner of the cover to the pump's position in the washer.
- Step B: Before installing the bottom plate, align and paste the acoustic absorption wool along the right-angle impression on the bottom plate (this step may be unnecessary for models without acoustic absorption wool).
- Remove the surface paper from the double-sided tape on the four sides of the bottom plate.
- Incline the machine to an angle of 40°. Position the side with the right-angle notch towards the front of the washing machine. Insert the side with the oblique-angle notch (Pump) between the two foot screws at the back of the washing machine until it is completely in place.
- Install the bottom plate, ensuring it contacts the bottom of the washing machine closely.
- Press the double-sided tape on the four sides manually to secure the noise-reduction plate firmly to the machine body.
Connecting the Drain Hose
Step 11: If the drain hose is installed as shown, unhook it only from the right clip.
Step 12: Connect the drain hose to the drain or hook it over the edge of a sink using the "U" bend. Fit the "U" bend (E), if not already installed, at the end of the drain hose.
Ensure:
- There are no kinks in the drain hose.
- The hose is secured so it cannot fall down.
Note: After the wash phase, the machine will drain hot water. Small hand basins are not suitable for draining. To extend the hose, use a hose of the same type and secure connections with clips. The maximum overall drain hose length is 2.50 m.
