How to Change Headlight Bulb on SEAT Ateca (KH7)

⚠️ Important Information
This replacement procedure is applicable for the following SEAT Ateca (KH7) models:
- 1.0 TSI
- 1.4 TSI
- 1.4 TSI 4Drive
- 1.6 TDI
- 2.0 TDI
- 2.0 TDI 4Drive
- 2.0 TSI 4Drive
- 1.5 TSI
- 1.5 TSI 4Drive
Note: The steps may slightly vary depending on the car design.
This tutorial was created based on the replacement procedure for a similar car part on: VW TOURAN (1T3) 1.6 TDI.
Tools You Might Need
Before starting the replacement, ensure you have the following tools:
- Electronic spray
- Flat screwdriver

- The replacement procedure is identical for both the left and right headlight bulbs.
- It is recommended to replace the bulbs in both headlights simultaneously.
- All work should be performed with the engine stopped.
Replacement Procedure

Switch off the ignition and open the hood.

Remove the headlight rear cover.

Detach the bulb holder by turning it approximately 30 degrees. Remove the holder from the headlight mounting seat.

Remove the old bulb. Use a flat screwdriver if necessary. Check the condition of the bulb holder terminals and replace them if needed.
AUTODOC Recommendation: Clean the bulb mounting seat on the holder.

Install a new bulb into the holder.
AUTODOC Recommendation: Avoid touching the bulb glass with your fingers, as finger marks can cause failure.

Install the bulb holder back into the headlight mounting seat. Secure it by turning it approximately 30 degrees.

Install and secure the headlight rear cover.

Switch on the ignition.

Switch on the headlights to verify that the new lamp functions properly.

Close the hood.
