Notes on Wiring:

  • Kindly use minimum 22AWG double-shielded aluminum mylar foil twisted pair cable for the connection between the reader and the controller.
  • To reduce long-distance noise, the isolated net of the transmission cable should connect to both ends of the device ground.
  • The distance between two readers should be over 30cm to prevent radio frequency interference.
  • Mounting the device around metal could affect read range; metal of any type around the device should be avoided.
  • The distance between the reader and the controller should not exceed 30 meters (For Wiegand/T2 models only).
  • For optimum read range, use a DC Linear power adaptor for the reader's power supply.
  • Input voltage should be between 12V ± 10% for normal operation.
  • If installed in an open or highly humid environment, protect the reader with an external shielding cover.
  • Note: Do not use the same set of twisted pairs for different functions.

5. Testing

To avoid interference during self-detection of the sensitive touch keypad, please do not touch the keypad when inputting power.

When power is on, the reader's green LED will flash, and the reader will beep concurrently. [? LED indicator flashing, ? beep sound]

Place the provided card near the reader. The reader will beep concurrently to confirm detection. [? card detection, ? beep sound]
