Machine Installation
01 Install frame
- Remove the cable ties from the frame.
- Turn the coupler to raise the X-axis.
Note: The TF card of the machine comes with an instruction video.
Attach the PEI sheet to the build platform using the provided screws (M5*45 (1pcs), M5*25 (2pcs), M5*45 (1pcs)).
02 Install print head
Mount the print head assembly using M3*6 (4pcs) screws.
03 Install screen
Attach the screen using M4*16 (2pcs) screws. Plug in the screen cable after installation.
04 Install filament holder
Assemble the filament holder as shown in the diagrams.
05 Insert Filament Tube
Insert the filament tube in the direction indicated in the diagram.
06 Wiring
Connect the cables for the X-axis limit switch, X-axis stepper, Z-axis stepper, and print head as shown.
Step 1: Secure the cables and filament tube at the indicated position with a retaining clamp.
Step 2: Secure the cables at the indicated position using zip ties.
Check Before Use
1. Pulley elastic adjustment
Check if the print head and print bed are shaking. If they are, adjust the hexagonal isolation column located underneath them until they slide smoothly and without shaking. Similarly, the pulleys on both sides of the gantry frame can also be adjusted.
2. Belts
Manually move the print head and print platform. If there is any difficulty or abnormal noise during movement, adjust the tensioner to ensure smooth sliding.
Tensioner Adjustment:
- Loosen
- Tighten
3. Power On
Connect the printer to a power outlet with the power cable, then power on the printer.
Note: When inserting the power cord, please avoid the print head cable to prevent any interference issues.
Screen Interface Overview
The screen interface provides control over various printer functions:
- Nozzle Temp: Displays and allows adjustment of the nozzle temperature.
- Speed: Controls print speed (80%, 100%, 120%).
- Home Page: Access to main menu options like Motor-Off, Move Axis, Filament, Auto Level, Module Calibration, and More Settings.
- Z Offset: Adjusts the vertical distance between the nozzle and the print bed (e.g., 0.05mm up/down).
- Hotbed Temp: Displays and allows adjustment of the print bed temperature.
- Printing in progress: Indicates the current printing status.
Note: The interface is for reference only and subject to updates.
Leveling
In the settings page, select [Auto level] and wait for the machine to complete the leveling process.
Note:
- Ensure the PEI board is installed before leveling.
- The leveling sensor is for platforms with metal surfaces. If replacing the platform, use one with a metal surface.
- The PEI sheet can be used on both sides. If leveling on side A, print on side A. If switching to side B, re-level the bed.
Loading Filament
- Place the filament onto the spool holder.
- Insert the filament into the extruder until resistance is felt. Press and hold the button on top of the extruder while doing so.
- In the settings page, select [Filament] - [Extrude]. Wait for the nozzle to heat up; the filament will be automatically extruded.
- Wait for the filament to extrude from the nozzle.
- Select [Stop] to end the filament loading process.
- Clean the melted filament off the nozzle.
Note: Before inserting filament, straighten the end.
Retraction Instructions:
Select [Filament] - [Retract]. Wait for the nozzle to heat up, then press the extruder button and pull out the filament. During printing, filament replacement must be done manually.
Start printing
- Insert the TF card into the printer's card slot.
- Select the corresponding model and start printing.
Note: Observe the first layer. If situations [too low] or [too high] occur, adjust the Z-Offset value during printing to modify the distance between the print head and the print platform.
Model Resume Function Description
Power Loss Resume
In case of power outage or accidental shutdown, reconnect power and turn on the machine to resume printing. The PEI platform adheres better when heated; prolonged power loss may cause cooling and model detachment.
Filament Runout Detection
This function prevents printing failures due to filament running out. It alerts the user to replace the filament, preventing wasted prints. This feature requires a filament runout detection sensor.
Troubleshooting Guide
Leveling Anomaly
- After powering off, check the wiring of the leveling calibration module. Restart the machine.
- Select [Module Calibration] > [Position Calibration]. Use [X Move] and [Y Move] to center the nozzle over the calibration module. Click [Save] and perform leveling again.
The shown nozzle is on the print head; some parts are omitted for clarity.
X/Y/Z axis motor issues
- Check motor wires for looseness and recheck connections.
- Ensure limit switch wires are secure and that the limit switch is triggering properly, checking for interference.
Extruder abnormal extrusion
- Check extruder motor wire for looseness.
- Ensure the extruder gear is securely tightened to the motor shaft.
- Verify the print head cooling fan is functioning properly.
- If the nozzle is clogged, heat it to 230°C and manually extrude filament. Alternatively, use a fine needle to clear the clog while preheated.
Model not sticking to the platform or warping
- Ensure filament adheres to the platform during the first layer. If the nozzle-to-platform distance exceeds 0.2mm, adhesion is reduced, requiring releveling.
- Set print platform adhesion to "Brim" in the slicing software to enhance adhesion and prevent warping.
Model misalignment
- Reduce print speed if it is too fast.
- Check if X/Y axis belts are too loose or timing pulleys are not securely fixed.
Excessive stringing
- Increase retraction distance and speed in the slicing software.
- Enable Z-lift during retraction (approx. 0.25mm lift height).
- Lower printing temperature slightly if the filament is too viscous.
