Wi-Fi Module for Remote Connection of PRO Series Control Panels

1. General Information

This manual must always accompany the device and be kept in an accessible place for qualified technicians. Read the instructions carefully before using the product to avoid damage or improper use, which could void the warranty. Follow the instructions provided. For specific situations not described, contact technical support. When requesting assistance or spare parts, specify the model identification and construction number. Our technical service and support department is available for any needs. Inspect the received goods immediately for any transport damage. Report any anomalies within 5 days of receipt to the reseller or customer service. Information in this manual may change without notice. Damages related to the use of these instructions are not considered, as they are indicative only. Failure to follow these instructions may cause damage to people or property. Local regulations and laws must be respected.

2. Warnings

The electrical panel must be used only for its intended purpose. Any other application is improper and dangerous. In case of fire, avoid water jets and use appropriate extinguishing agents (powder, foam, carbon dioxide). Install the device away from heat sources in a dry, sheltered location, respecting the declared IP protection rating. Install a safety device to protect the power line, in compliance with current electrical standards. Before any intervention on the electrical panel or system, disconnect the power supply. Do not disassemble parts of the panel without authorization; any tampering or unauthorized modification will void the warranty. Installation and maintenance operations must be performed by a qualified technician aware of safety regulations. Ensure connection to an efficient grounding system. After electrical connection, verify the panel settings as the electric pump may start automatically. The manufacturer is not liable for: incorrect installation; use by untrained personnel; lack of maintenance; use of non-original spare parts; unauthorized modifications; non-compliance with instructions.

3. General Description

3.1 Functioning

The LINK_E Wi-Fi module allows control via RS-485 serial connection and MODBUS protocol for all PRO series electronic panels. Requires the PROXPS-RS485 expansion on the motherboard and software version V2.0 or higher.

4. Installation

Verify that the power supply voltage matches the voltage indicated on the electrical panel's nameplate. Connect the ground before any other connection. Power supply: 1~100-240Vac 50/60Hz. The power line must be protected by a differential magnetothermic switch. The module is designed for DIN rail mounting. Install the device in locations that respect the protection rating.

5.1 Reset Button

The reset button can be used to restart the device. Pressing it for more than 30 seconds erases connection data and enters "Captive Portal" mode.

Wi-Fi Connection

  1. Upon first power-up, the device creates a Wi-Fi network named "IOT CAPTIVE PORTAL".
  2. Connect to the IOT CAPTIVE PORTAL network. The first connection may require a password: enter 12345678.
  3. Open a browser and enter IP 192.168.4.1.
  4. The user connecting to this network will be automatically redirected to a web page for network configuration.
  5. Select the name of the Wi-Fi network the device should use, enter the Wi-Fi password, and press "Connect". The device will attempt to connect to the selected network and then to the cloud platform. If the connection fails, the configuration Wi-Fi network ("IOT CAPTIVE PORTAL") will be regenerated.

Once connected to the internet (via Ethernet or Wi-Fi), the device will start communicating information to the "IoT Platform".

6.3 Registration on the IoT Stream Platform

Via browser, go to https://iot.stream/registration. The following interface will appear for registration data entry.

Fill in the required fields and enter your gateway's serial number. Clicking "Register" will send an email from the @IOT.STREAM platform with a confirmation code and the USERNAME to enter, along with the created password, to access the control platform.

9. Interface

1. After completing registration, log in to your platform by entering your username and password. Complete the "Captcha verification", then log in using the "Login" button.

2. Select which system to monitor from the connected and online systems.

3. The displayed screen shows the data and settings of the connected panel via the LINK-E GATEWAY. The page can be zoomed as needed depending on the device size.

4. The platform is divided into several tabs, grouping and displaying various parameters (refer to the associated panel's user manual for individual meanings).
1. Red indicator: Shows the current status of the parameter/function.
2. Total number of parameters: Includes all parameters (even those not displayed) contained in the tab.
3. Button to access and modify all parameters within the tab.
4. Button to modify a single parameter.
5. Button to submit modifications.

5. Message requesting confirmation for sending modified parameters; upon confirmation, click OK in the subsequent message.

6. The input/output status tab represents the status of float switches/probes and motor control outputs. Red indicates the input/output is open; green indicates the input/output is closed.

IOT CAPTIVE PORTAL NETWORK NOT IN THE WIFI LIST
  • Turn the LINK-E off and on again.
  • Press the external button for 30 seconds.
LINK-E IS ONLINE BUT DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THE PANEL
  • Verify that the panel's MODBUS address is set to 10 (consult the panel's manual).
DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE WIFI NETWORK
  • Verify that the Wi-Fi network in use has a 2.4GHz frequency.
  • Check and exclude any firewall restrictions.
