- Place the bowl onto the bowl base. Turn the bowl clockwise to lock it.
- To remove the bowl, repeat steps 1 and 2. Turn the bowl counter-clockwise.
Note: The motor head must always remain locked when using the stand mixer.

- Set the speed control lever to '0'. Unplug the mixer.
- Unlock and lift the motor head.
- Place the attachment onto the beater shaft and push it up as far as it will go. Turn the attachment to the right and hook it onto the pin on the shaft.
- To remove, repeat steps 1 and 2. Push the attachment up as far as possible and turn it to the left. Then pull the attachment off the beater shaft.
Bowl-to-Beater Clearance Adjustment
The mixer is factory-set for minimal clearance between the flat beater and the bottom of the bowl. If the beater touches the bowl or is too far away, the clearance can be adjusted.
- Set the speed control lever to '0'. Unplug the mixer.
- Lift the motor head. Turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise (left) to raise the flat beater, or clockwise (right) to lower it. Adjust so the clearance is minimal without touching the bowl. Overtightening the screw may prevent the bowl lock from engaging.
Note: When properly adjusted, the flat beater should not touch the bottom or sides of the bowl. If the flat beater or wire whisk touches the bottom of the bowl, it may damage the coating on the beater or the wires on the whisk.
