DEFU 2AS Key Duplicating Machine
EXTRA HARDNESS CUTTER
Operation and Maintenance
This document provides instructions for operating and maintaining the DEFU 2AS Key Duplicating Machine, designed for duplicating keys with extra hardness cutters.
Key Duplication Adjustment Methods
Proper adjustment of the cutter and guide needle is crucial for accurate key duplication.
Cutter and Guide Needle Positioning
Method 1: Cutter Too Deep
If the cutter touches the key blank too deeply, adjust the guide needle to the outside.
[Diagram Description: Two illustrations showing a key blank, cutter, and guide needle. The first shows the cutter deeply engaged with the key embryo, with the guide needle positioned outside. The second shows the correct positioning, with the cutter lightly touching the key embryo and the guide needle positioned inside.]
Method 2: Correct Positioning
The correct method involves the cutter touching slightly on the surface of the key blank.
Method 3: Adjustment for Inaccurate Duplication
If a key is not duplicated exactly, adjust the guide needle using a screwdriver.
[Diagram Description: An illustration showing the cutter and guide needle. A note indicates that if the cutter cannot touch the key embryo, the guide needle must be turned inwards.]
Cutter Replacement
To replace the milling cutter:
- First, cut the power supply.
- Use a spanner to secure the "flat plane of axis of cutter".
- Use another spanner to slip the "nut of the axis of cutter" clockwise.
- Replace the milling cutters.
[Diagram Description: An illustration showing the process of replacing the milling cutter. It depicts a spanner holding the flat plane of the cutter's axis and another spanner turning the nut of the cutter's axis clockwise to loosen it.]
Using the Clamp
The fixture can be used on both sides.
Clamping Bevel Tooth Keys
For this type of bevel tooth key, the fixture can flip along with the key's flip motion.
Clamping Board Type Keys
For board type keys, first, fix the duplicated key. Then, place the foreside of the duplicated key close to the cutter and the foreside of the key blank close to the cutter. Lock them in place for duplication.
Clamping Stick Type Keys
For stick type keys, first, fix the duplicated key. Then, place the end of the duplicated key close to the guide needle and the end of the key blank close to the cutter. Lock them in place for duplication.
[Diagram Description: Multiple illustrations showing different key types (front and back views) being clamped in the fixture. One diagram shows a "Raising tool" being used to adjust the height of the key blank by placing a pad underneath it.]
Maintenance and Precautions
To ensure the longevity and safe operation of the key machine:
- Lubricate the parts frequently.
- Add lubricating oil frequently.
- Keep the fixture clean.
- The grounding device and grounding wire must be installed before use.
- Ensure the installation is firm, reliable, and in good contact, meeting all standards.
- After connecting the key machine to the power supply, it is strictly forbidden to disconnect the grounding of the key machine housing line to ensure electrical safety.
