Quick Start Guide

This Quick Start Guide is not a substitute for reading the user manual. To reduce the risk of injury or death, the user must read and understand the user manual before using this product.

Tools Needed

Fresh clean unleaded gasoline (not included)

Funnel (included)

4-stroke engine oil (included)

Before Starting

  1. Install the stabilizers, wheels, and handle. (see the user manual)
  2. Connect the battery.
  3. Add engine oil:
    1. Unlock and remove the engine service cover to access the oil dipstick.
    2. Remove the oil dipstick.
    3. Using the supplied 4-cycle engine oil and funnel, slowly add engine oil to the engine until full. Do not overfill. If oil level is too high, oil will drain out through the fill plug.
  4. Add unleaded gasoline to the gas tank:
    1. Unscrew the gas cap on top of tank.
    2. Slowly add gasoline into the fuel tank. The gasoline level should NOT be higher than the red maximum fill ring.
    3. Secure the gas cap.
  5. Connect the LPG tank:
    1. Connect the included LPG hose to standard LPG tank and hand tighten.
    2. Connect other end of the LPG hose to the generator and hand tighten.
  6. Connect the natural gas supply:
    1. Connect the adapter (not included) to the generator. Be sure the adapter is secure.
    2. Connect the natural gas hose (not included) to the adapter. Be sure the connection is secure.
    3. Connect the other end of the natural gas hose to the natural gas supply. Be sure the connection is secure.

Starting Procedure

  1. Be sure all loads are disconnected from the generator and ensure the ECO mode switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Select fuel source.
  3. Put the battery switch in the ON (1) position.
  4. Remote Start: Press and hold the ON button on the remote start key fob for one second.
  5. Push-Button Start: Press and hold the engine START/STOP button for two seconds.
  6. Recoil Start: Firmly grasp and pull the recoil handle slowly until there is increased resistance, then pull rapidly. NOTE: In extreme cold, manually close the choke by moving it right toward the front handle of the generator.
  7. Manual Start: Move the choke to the off / cold start position and pull the recoil handle until the generator starts. If the engine is warm, move the choke towards the on / warm start position.
  8. Connect loads to the control panel receptacles.

Shutdown Procedure

  1. Disconnect all loads from the receptacles.
  2. Stop the flow of fuel.
  3. Turn off the generator. Press the OFF button on the remote or the START/STOP button on control panel.
  4. Put the battery switch in the stop position (O).

NOTE: This unit has a GASOLINE OFF setting that can be used before storing the unit for long periods of time. Refer to the user manual for details.

Maintenance Schedule

Following the maintenance schedule is important to keep the inverter in good operating condition. The following is a summary of maintenance items by periodic maintenance intervals. Refer to the Maintenance section in the Owners Manual to find out how to properly perform maintenance.

Engine Oil

Only use 4-stroke/cycle engine oil. NEVER USE 2-STROKE/CYCLE OIL. Synthetic oil is an acceptable substitute for conventional oil.
