Product Overview

This document provides a quick start guide for the Proceq GP8800, GP8100, and GP8000 Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems. It covers essential setup, operation, and compliance information.

Product Components

The Proceq GPR systems are available in several models, each with a set of included accessories:

• A: Rugged carrying case for Proceq GPR equipment.
• B: USB-C to USB-C data/charging cable.
• C: Four AA batteries (for specific models or accessories).
• D: AC power adapter with cable for charging.
• E: Yellow marker pen for site marking.
• F, G: Calibration targets or sheets.
• H: Grid paper or template for planning scans.
• I: Proceq GPR Live application icon.
• J: Product leaflet or manual.
• K: Proceq GP8100 Ground Penetrating Radar unit.
• L: Proceq GP8000 or GP8000 Lite Ground Penetrating Radar unit.
• M: Rechargeable battery pack (Ni-MH or Li-ion).
• N: Proceq GP8800 Ground Penetrating Radar unit.
• Oa: Ni-MH battery pack.

Getting Started

Battery Installation and Charging

Battery Insertion: Ensure correct polarity when inserting rechargeable AA batteries or the battery pack. Refer to the diagrams for proper placement.

Charging Indicators:

• Green: Battery is full or charging (blinking).
• Orange: Battery is almost fully charged; temperature limit may be exceeded (wait or disconnect).
• Red: AA cells inserted incorrectly or temperature limit exceeded (wait or disconnect).

Important: Do not leave the battery pack discharged for longer than 3 months.

Operating the Device

Wrist Loop: Always secure the wrist loop with the provided screw and use it when operating the product for safety.

External Power: When operating the device with an external power source, always use the protective cover.

Proceq GPR Live App and Probe Registration

App Download: Download the "Proceq GPR Live" application from the Apple App Store.

Account Creation:

• Open the app and select "Create your account" or "Create an Account".
• Fill in the required fields: First Name, Last Name, Screening Eagle ID (Email), Password, Country, Job Title, Company Name, Company Size, Industry, and Company Website.
• Optionally subscribe to newsletters.
• Read and agree to the Proceq Privacy Policy.
• Tap "Register".

Sign In: Once your account is created, sign in using your Screening Eagle ID and password.

Probe Registration:

• Navigate to the probe registration section within the app.
• Scan the QR code provided with your probe. This process is only needed once for initial setup.
• Upon successful registration, you may be prompted to place the battery pack back on the device and switch it on. Tap "Continue" to connect to the device.

Compliance and Declarations

The Proceq GPR systems comply with various directives and standards, including:

• Declarations of Conformity: Compliance with EU directives such as Low Voltage, EMC, and Radio Equipment directives, as well as RoHS and WEEE directives.
• Swiss Made Declaration: Confirmation that the instruments were developed and manufactured in Switzerland.
• UK Declaration of Conformity: Compliance with UK statutory requirements.
• FCC Regulations: Compliance with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
• Industry Canada Regulations: Compliance with relevant CNR standards.
