3 Simple setup
You will also need:
- Speakers with cables and appropriate connectors
- A router with Wi-Fi connected to the internet
- A smartphone or tablet
- Optional: A network cable for a wired connection
4 Connection and power
- Connect the speakers to the rear of the unit using speaker cables and plugs.
- Ensure you have a powered and connected Wi-Fi router within range.
- Load batteries into the remote handset.
- Connect the power lead to the unit's power socket and to the mains.
- Switch on the unit by pressing the power button located to the right of the unit's display.
5 Pairing the remote
Once your unit is powered on, you will need to pair the remote handset. Hold the remote close to the unit's display screen (5cm or less) and press and hold the remote's Home button for 3 seconds. The remote is now paired to the unit and ready to use.
6 Download Naim app
Download and install the Naim app for your iOS or Android device. Launch the Naim app and follow the on-screen setup instructions to configure the product.
7 Playing music
The Uniti Star allows you to access all your music, including your favourite streaming services and internet radio stations. You can play music stored on a Naim server (such as a Uniti Core) and use the Uniti Star as the source for your multiroom system. The Uniti Star also includes digital, analogue, CD replay, and HDMI connections, so you can connect your external sources.
Music Sources:
- (A) Online streaming services: Access services like Tidal, Spotify, iRadio, Chromecast built-in, and AirPlay.
- (B) Streaming from a music server: Play music stored on a server like the Naim Uniti Core.
- (C) Music server for multiroom streaming: Use the Uniti Star as part of a multiroom setup.
- (D) Playing other sources: Connect external devices via HDMI (ARC), analogue inputs, or use the CD player.
