ALIYIQI ANPM Automatic Bottle Cap Torque Tester
Instruction Manual
I. Overview
1. Main Purpose and Scope of Application
The ALIYIQI ANPM automatic bottle cap torque tester is a patented product designed to automatically test torque values. It utilizes advanced electronic technology and precision mechanical transmission to measure the torque required for opening or locking bottle caps. This tester meets technical requirements stipulated in the national standard GB / T 17876 and uses a high-precision torque sensor for accurate loading and positioning. It is suitable for various packaging products, including medicinal glass bottles, medicinal plastic bottles, child safety caps, beverage bottles, mineral water bottles, milk bottles, and oil barrels. It is an ideal choice for beverage and bottle production manufacturers, research institutions, quality inspection institutions, and large/medium-sized enterprises for product quality testing.
2. Test Principle
The bottle body and cap of the object to be measured are fixed onto the tester's fixtures. The bottom clamp is connected to the torque sensor within the tester. Upon activation, the upper clamp grips the bottle cap and rotates it. This rotation drives the bottle body, transmitting the torque to the sensor, which then measures the required torque value for clockwise or counterclockwise cap rotation.

VI. Instructions for Use and Operation
1. Boot Screen Display
Upon startup, the instrument displays brand information and the operating range during initialization, often shown as a loading progress bar.
2. Measurement Interface Display
The main measurement interface displays key information:
- Peak value: The maximum torque value recorded during the test.
- Real-time value: The current torque value being measured, along with the selected torque unit (N.m).
- Angle value: The forward/reverse rotation angle value during the test (in degrees).
- Minimum peak value: The user-defined minimum value for peak storage. Data below this threshold is not stored.
- Upper limit value: The maximum test value that can be set. When reached, the shaft stops and reverses. This value should not exceed the full range (used in repeat mode).
- Lower limit value: The user-defined minimum acceptable torque value. When reached, the shaft stops automatically. This value should not exceed the upper limit value (default reference is 0 in repeat mode).
- Version: Identifies the instrument's software version number.
- Speed: The response speed of the rotation axis, adjustable for clockwise/counterclockwise tests.
- Number of repetitions: Sets the count for repetitive testing on uniform workpieces.
- Mode: Indicates the current test status (e.g., Manual, Automatic peak, Repeat).
3. User Setting Interface
The system setting interface allows parameter adjustments. Users navigate using the 'Stop key' to move the cursor and arrow keys to modify values. After adjustment, the 'Set key' confirms and saves the data. Set data must not exceed the maximum load value.
Parameter Descriptions:
- Upper limit: As described above, for setting the maximum test value.
- Lower limit: As described above, for setting the minimum acceptable torque value.
- Speed: Response speed of the rotation axis for tests.
- Number of repetitions: For setting the number of tests in repetitive mode.
- Mode: Selection of four modes: Manual, Automatic peak, Repeat, and Torque angle modulus. The Torque angle mode requires computer software connection.
- Manual mode: Place object, rotate fixture manually; system records peak value. Pressing clockwise/counterclockwise clears previous peak. Stop button halts rotation.
- Automatic peak mode: Used with lower limit setting. If a peak value is detected and is less than the lower limit, the instrument stops rotating.
- Repeat mode: For repeated testing. Requires setting upper/lower limits and number of repetitions. When the force reaches the upper limit, rotation reverses. If below the lower limit, a count is added, and direction changes for the next measurement until completion.
- Torque angle mode: Requires computer software. Records real-time rotation curves. Two angle values are set; after reaching them sequentially, the instrument returns to origin and records a three-segment curve on the software.
- Minimum peak value: As described above, for setting the minimum storage threshold.
4. Other Methods of Use
- 5.1 Angle reset: Long press the reset button.
- 5.2 Unit switching: Long press the stop button.
- 5.3 Print current value: Long press to set (configures micro printer to print peak value, real-time value, and angle value).
VII. Communication with Computer Software
The instrument can communicate with computer software via RS-232 for data recording and parameter modification. The process involves:
- Connecting the instrument to the computer using an RS-232 to USB data cable.
- Turning on the instrument to the measurement interface.
- Installing and opening the application from the supplied CD-ROM.
- Clicking the "Settings" button in the software to open the dialog box.
- Selecting the correct serial port (e.g., COM7) corresponding to the computer's connection. This requires checking the "Device Manager" to identify the serial port number.
- Clicking "Apply" in the settings.
- Clicking "Connect" to establish the connection. A successful connection is indicated in the lower-left corner of the software.
The software interface provides options for:
- File: New, Open, Save, Export, Exit (for viewing saved data and closing software).
- Device: Connect, Disconnect (for managing the product's software connection).
- Options: Settings (serial port, connection parameters), Machine parameters (direct modification), Language (Chinese/English selection).
- Help: About (displays software version number).
The Torque Angle mode within the software is used to record real-time rotation curves, requiring setting two angle values and returning to origin to display a three-segment curve.
Other functions include: Zero clear, angle zero clear, unit selection, clockwise/counterclockwise control, and stop functions, detailed in parameter descriptions.
Start: Initiates testing after software connection.
Refresh: Refreshes the software interface, useful if the software becomes unresponsive.
Coordinate setting: Modifies the software's coordinate display, adjusting X and Y axis limits as needed.
VIII. Daily Maintenance and Care
- Keep the operating environment clean to prevent liquids, iron filings, or other contaminants from entering the instrument and damaging electronic components.
