Candy Oven User Instructions
Brand: Candy
General Instructions
Thank you for choosing a Candy product. For best results, read this manual carefully and retain it for future reference. Before installation, note the serial number for customer service. Check for damage during transportation; if damaged, consult a qualified technician. Keep packaging material away from children. Initial use may produce smoke due to insulation glue heating, which is normal. Wait for smoke to dissipate before cooking. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage resulting from failure to observe instructions. Note that functions, properties, and accessories may vary by model.
1.1 Safety Indications
Use the oven only for cooking food. Other uses, like as a heat source, are improper and dangerous. The manufacturer is not liable for damage from improper use. Observe fundamental rules for electrical appliances: do not pull the power cable to disconnect; do not touch with wet hands/feet; avoid adaptors, multiple sockets, and extension cables; switch off and do not tamper with the appliance in case of malfunction.
1.2 Electrical Safety
ENSURE THAT AN ELECTRICIAN OR QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN MAKES THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS. The power supply must conform to local laws. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage due to non-compliance. The oven must be connected to an earthed wall outlet or a disconnector with multiple poles. The supply should be protected by suitable fuses, and cables must have adequate cross-section. The power cable connects to a 220-240 Vac 50 Hz supply. Check power voltage and disconnector settings. The grounding wire must be connected to the power supply's earth terminal. WARNING: Before connecting, have a qualified electrician check the earth terminal continuity. The manufacturer is not responsible for accidents due to improper earthing.
NOTE: Keep another wall socket available for maintenance. The power cable should only be substituted by qualified technical service staff.
1.3 Recommendations
Regular cleaning extends the oven's lifecycle. Wait for the oven to cool before cleaning. Never use abrasive detergents, steel wool, or sharp objects on enamelled parts. Use water, soap, or bleach-based detergents (ammonia). Clean the glass window with absorbent kitchen towel after each use. For stubborn stains, use a well-wrung, detergent-soaked sponge and rinse with water. Clean the oven window seal with a slightly damp sponge. Clean accessories with a wet, soapy sponge, rinse, and dry; avoid abrasive detergents. After using the grill, remove the drip pan, pour out hot fat, and wash in hot water with sponge and washing-up liquid. For greasy residues, soak the pan in water and detergent, or use a dishwasher or commercial oven detergent. Never put a dirty pan back into the oven.
Do not line oven walls with aluminum foil or single-use protection, as it can melt and damage the enamel. To prevent excessive dirt and smoke, avoid very high temperatures; extend cooking time and lower temperature slightly. Use only dishes and baking moulds resistant to very high temperatures.
1.4 Installation
Manufacturers are not obligated to perform installation. Assistance for faults arising from incorrect installation is not covered by the guarantee. Follow installation instructions for qualified personnel. Incorrect installation can cause harm or injury. The oven can be located high in a column or under a worktop. Ensure good ventilation for cooling and internal part protection. Make specified openings according to fitting type (refer to diagrams).
1.5 Waste Management and Environmental Protection
This appliance is labelled according to the European Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE). WEEE contains pollutants and reusable base elements. Specific treatments are required for pollutant removal and material recovery. Individuals can help by not treating WEEE as domestic waste and taking it to dedicated collection areas. When buying a new appliance, the old one can be returned to the vendor free of charge if of equivalent type and function.
Saving and Respecting the Environment: Avoid pre-heating when possible and fill the oven. Open the door infrequently. Switch off the oven 5-10 minutes before the planned end of cooking to use residual heat. Keep seals clean to prevent heat dispersal. Use the "delayed cooking" program for energy saving with hourly tariffs.
1.6 Declaration of Compliance
Parts in contact with foodstuffs comply with EEC Directive 89/109. The CE mark confirms compliance with all applicable European safety, health, and environmental requirements.

3.4 Cooking Modes
This table details the available cooking modes:
Function Dial | Function (Depends on the oven model) |
---|---|
LAMP | Turns on the oven light. |
DEFROST | The fan circulates room temperature air around frozen food to defrost it quickly without altering protein content. |
FAN COOKING | Recommended for poultry, pastries, fish, and vegetables. Heat penetrates food better, reducing cooking and preheating times. Allows cooking different foods simultaneously. Provides even heat distribution and prevents smell mixing. Allow approximately 10 minutes extra when cooking multiple items. |
FAN ASSISTED GRILL | Uses the turbo-grill with the door closed. The top heating element and fan circulate air. Preheating is necessary for red meats but not white meats. Ideal for thick food items like roast pork or poultry. Place food centrally on the middle shelf, with a drip tray underneath. Ensure food is not too close to the grill. Turn food halfway through cooking. |
FAN + LOWER ELEMENT | Circulates air inside the oven. Ideal for fruit flans, tarts, quiches, and pâté. Prevents food drying and encourages rising in cakes and bread dough. Place the shelf in the bottom position. |
CONVENTIONAL COOKING | Uses both top and bottom heating elements. Preheat for about ten minutes. Ideal for traditional roasting and baking, seizing red meats, roast beef, lamb, game, bread, foil-wrapped food, and flaky pastry. Place food on a shelf in the mid position. |
GRILL | Uses the top heating element alone; temperature is adjustable. Requires 5 minutes preheating for red-hot elements. Suitable for grills, kebabs, and gratin dishes. White meats should be placed further from the grill for longer cooking and better taste. Red meats and fish can be placed on the shelf with the drip tray. Oven has two grill positions: Grill (2140 W) and Barbecue (3340 W). Grill function must be performed at 200°C maximum. |
Funzione pizza | Hot air circulated in the oven ensures perfect results for dishes like pizza or focaccia. |
COOK LIGHT | A healthier cooking method reducing fat/oil. Uses grill and fan with pulsed air to retain moisture, grill the surface, and cook faster without compromising taste. Suitable for meat, roasted vegetables, and omelettes. Preserves nutritional values and ensures rapid, uniform cooking. |
*Tested in accordance with CENELEC EN 60350-1 for energy class definition.
