4.1 Function Overview
The YL81C display provides a variety of functions to meet the riding needs of users, including:
- Battery level indicator
- Assist level adjustment and indication
- Headlight indicator
- Speed indicator (including real-time speed, maximum speed (MAXS) and average speed (AVG))
- Distance indicator (including ODO and trip distance (Trip))

4.3 Button Definitions
There are three buttons on the operating unit of the display: the [power] button, the [plus] button, and the [minus] button.
5. General Operation
5.1 Power On/Off
Press and hold the [power] button to turn on the display and the controller's power supply. Press and hold the [power] button again to power off the e-bike. In the power-off state, the display consumes less than 1uA leakage current. If the e-bike is not used for more than 10 minutes, the display will automatically power off.
5.2 Display Interface
After turning on, the display shows real-time speed (km/h) and trip distance (km) by default. Pressing the [power] button cycles through Trip distance, ODO, maximum speed (km/h), and average speed (km/h). The distance resets to zero when it reaches 9999.9 km.

5.3 Push Assistance
By pressing and holding the [power] button, the electric push assistance mode is enabled, running the e-bike at a constant speed of 6km/h. The display shows level 'P'. Releasing the [power] button stops power output and returns to the previous state.

5.4 Headlight On/Off
Press and hold the [plus] button to turn on the headlights and dim the display backlight. Press and hold the [plus] button again to turn off the headlights and restore the display backlight luminance.

5.5 Assist Level Selection
Pressing the [plus] or [minus] buttons switches the e-bike assist level, changing motor output power. Available assist levels include: 0-3, 1-3, 0-5, 1-5, 0-7, 1-7, 0-9, and 1-9.

5.6 Battery Level Indicator
The battery level indicator has five segments. All segments are lit when the battery is fully charged. In case of undervoltage, the indicator outline flashes, signaling the need for immediate charging.

5.7 Error Code Indicator
When a fault occurs in the e-bike's electronic control system, the display shows an error code in the distance area in the format E0**. Detailed definitions are in Schedule 1.

6. General Setting
All parameters can only be set when the e-bike is stopped. The steps for general setting are as follows: In the power-on state, when the display shows speed 0:
6.1 Trip Distance Reset
Press and hold the [power] and [minus] buttons simultaneously for more than 2 seconds to reset the trip distance.
6.2 Factory Reset
'dEF' refers to factory reset. 'dEF-n' means not to restore factory settings, and 'dEF-y' means to restore factory settings. Press and hold the [power] and [plus] buttons simultaneously for more than 2 seconds to enter the factory reset interface. Use the [plus] or [minus] buttons to select a parameter.

7. Custom Setting
All parameters can only be set when the e-bike is stopped. The steps for custom setting are as follows: In the power-on state, when the display shows speed 0:
- Press and hold the [power] and [minus] buttons simultaneously for more than 2 seconds to enter the custom setting options interface.
- Press the [plus] or [minus] button to switch between general setting options and press the [power] button to enter the parameter modification interface.
- Press the [plus] or [minus] button for parameter selection.
- Press the [power] button to save the parameter and return to the custom setting options interface.
- Press and hold the [power] button to save the parameter and exit the custom setting interface.
7.1 Rated Voltage Setting
P1 refers to the rated voltage setting. Available values: 36V and 48V. Press the [power] button to enter the parameter modification interface. Press the [plus] or [minus] button for parameter selection. Press the [power] button to save the parameter and return to the general setting options interface.

7.2 Wheel Diameter Setting
P2 refers to the wheel diameter setting. Available parameters: 8-32 inches. Press the [power] button to enter the parameter modification interface. P3 represents the speed limit setting. The adjustable range is 10~40km/h. Press the [power] button to enter the parameter modification interface. 7.4 Metric/Imperial System Setting
P4 refers to the metric/imperial system setting. 00 represents the metric system, and 01 represents the imperial system. Press the [power] button to enter the parameter modification interface. 7.5 Speed Sensor Setting
P5 refers to the speed sensor setting, which is set according to the number of magnetic heads on the e-bike's wheels. The setting range is 1-63. Press the [power] button to enter the parameter modification interface. Press the [plus] or [minus] button for parameter selection. Press the [power] button to save the parameter and return to the general setting options interface.

7.6 Current Limit Setting

7.7 Assistance Sensor Setting
P7 refers to the assistance sensor setting, where the number of steel magnets of the assistance magnetic disk can be set. The adjustable range is 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12. Press the [power] button to enter the parameter modification interface. Press the [plus] or [minus] button for parameter selection. Press the [power] button to save the parameter and return to the general setting options interface.

7.8 Power-on Password Setting
P8 refers to the power-on password setting option. 'PSd-Y' means a power-on password is required, and 'PSd-N' means no password is required. The default is 'PSd-N'. Press the [power] button to enter the modification interface, and press the [plus] or [minus] button to enter the selection interface.
If 'PSd-N' is selected, press the [power] button to return to the custom setting options interface. If 'PSd-Y' is selected, press the [power] button to enter the password setting interface. To exit without changing the password, press and hold the [power] button. To change the password, use the [plus]/[minus] buttons for cursor movement and the [plus]/[minus] buttons for figure selection, then press the [power] button to return to the custom setting options interface.

8. Quality Commitments and Warranty Scope
8.1 Warranty Information
For faults caused by product quality under normal use, the Company provides a limited warranty during the warranty period. The warranty period is 12 months from delivery.
8.2 Non-Warranty Scope
- The enclosure is opened.
- The connector is damaged.
- The enclosure is scratched or damaged after delivery.
- The outgoing line of the display is scratched or broken.
- Faults or damage caused by force majeure (e.g., fires, earthquakes) or natural disasters (e.g., lightning strikes).
- The warranty period has expired.

10. Considerations
- Please use safely, and do not plug or unplug the display when it is powered on.
- Please avoid bumping as far as possible.
- Please do not alter the background parameter settings of the display at will, otherwise normal riding cannot be guaranteed.
- If the display fails to work normally, it should be repaired as soon as possible.
- Due to product upgrades, the displayed contents or functions may differ from the manual depending on the actual model.
