3. Appearance and Size
The YL91F-E display features a 4.2-inch screen. The physical dimensions are 125.5mm in width, 72.5mm in height, and 78.5mm in depth. The screen viewing area is 62.5mm by 85.5mm. The mounting bracket accommodates handlebars with a diameter of Ø31.8mm and extends 17.5mm from the display.
The display includes indicators for battery level, PAS level, error codes, speed, units (km/h, MPH), trip odometer, odometer, maximum speed, average speed, walk boost mode, and lights. It also features power buttons and control buttons.

4.1 Functional Overview
The YL91F-E display offers a variety of features to suit your riding needs, including:

4.3 Button Definitions
The YL91F-E display is equipped with five buttons: power on/off, minus, plus, light, and toggle.
5. Routine Operation
5.1 Power On/Off
Long press the power button to turn the display on or off. When the display is off, it consumes minimal battery power (leakage current less than 1uA). The display will automatically shut off if not used for more than 10 minutes.
5.2 Display Interface Switching
When powered on, the display shows Current Speed (km/h) and Trip Odometer (km) by default. Short pressing the toggle button cycles through Trip Odometer, Odometer, Maximum Speed, and Average Speed.
5.3 Walk Boost Mode
Long press and hold the plus button to enter walk boost mode. The e-bike will move at a constant speed, indicated by a 'D' on the display. Release the button to stop power output and return to the previous state. This mode is intended for pushing the electric bicycle, not for riding.
5.4 Turning On/Off Lights
Press the light button to turn on the lights and dim the display backlight. Pressing it again turns off the lights and restores the display brightness.
5.5 PAS Level Selection
Press the plus or minus buttons to switch the Pedal Assist System (PAS) level, which adjusts the motor output power. The display shows different PAS levels (e.g., 15.0, 20.0, 25.0) corresponding to different gears.
5.6 Quick Switching Operation of Dual Drive Mode
Long press and hold the plus button on the main interface to cycle through three driving modes: rear wheel drive, front wheel drive, and full-time dual drive. The display indicates the current mode with stars inside the tire icons.
5.7 Battery Level Display
The battery level is shown as 5 bars. When fully charged, all bars are lit. When the battery is depleted, the bars flash to indicate the need for charging.
5.8 Error Code Display
If a fault occurs in the electronic system, an error code will be displayed. Refer to Schedule 1 for detailed error code definitions. If an error code appears, troubleshoot the problem promptly, as the electric bicycle may not function normally.
6. Personalized Parameter Settings
Note: Each setting must be performed while the bicycle is stationary and the display is ON with speed showing 0.
Procedure:
- Press and hold the plus and minus buttons simultaneously for more than 2 seconds to enter the personalized parameter setting interface.
- Press plus or minus to toggle between parameter setting interfaces, and press the toggle button to enter the parameter changing state.
- Press plus or minus to select the parameter. Long press plus for addition, long press minus for subtraction.
- Press the toggle button to save parameter settings and return to the personalized parameter setting interface.
- Long press the toggle button to save parameter settings and exit the interface.
6.1 Metric and Imperial Setting
Parameter 01P: Metric and Imperial setting. 00 for metric, 01 for imperial. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the unit, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.2 Rated Voltage Setting
Parameter 02P: Rated voltage setting. Available ranges: 36V, 48V, 60V. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the voltage, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.3 PAS Level Setting
Parameter 03P: Pedal assist (PAS) level setting. Available levels: 0~3, 1~3, 0~5, 1~5. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the level, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.4 Wheel Diameter Setting
Parameter 04P: Wheel diameter setting. Adjustable range: 8~32 inches. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the diameter, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.5 Number of Speed Sensor Magnets Setting
Parameter 05P: Speed sensor magnet number setting. Adjustable range: 1~255 pcs. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the number, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.6 Speed Limit Setting
Parameter 06P: Speed limit setting. Adjustable range: 1~52 km/h. (Maximum adjustable speed limit may vary by protocol). Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the speed limit, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.7 Start-up Setting
Parameter 07P: Start-up setting. Options: 00 (zero start), 01 (non-zero start). Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the start mode, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.8 Drive Mode Setting
Parameter 08P: Drive mode setting. Options: 00 (Pedal assist only), 01 (Electric only), 02 (Both Pedal assist and electric). Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the mode, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.9 Pedal Assist Sensitivity Setting
Parameter 09P: Pedal assist sensitivity setting. Higher numbers require more crank rotations to activate the motor; lower numbers require fewer rotations. Adjustable range: 1~24. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the sensitivity, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.10 Pedal Assist Strength Setting
Parameter 10P: Pedal assist strength setting. This is the relative strength of the PWM signal. Adjustable range: 0~5 (0 is weakest, 5 is strongest). Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the strength, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.11 Number of Pedal Assist Sensor Magnets Setting
Parameter 11P: Number of pedal assist sensor magnets setting. Adjustable range: 5~12 pcs. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the number, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.12 Controller Current Limit Setting
Parameter 12P: Controller current limit setting. Adjustable range: 1~50A. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the current limit, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.13 Battery Under Voltage Value Setting
Parameter 13P: Battery under voltage setting. The value can be adjusted based on the current rated voltage. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the voltage value, and press the toggle button to save and return.
6.14 Auto Sleep Time Setting
Parameter 14P: Auto sleep time setting. To save battery power and increase range, the display turns off after a period of inactivity. Adjustable range: 00~60 minutes (00 means no auto shutdown). The factory default is 10 minutes. Press the toggle button to enter parameter changing state. Press plus or minus to select the time, and press the toggle button to save and return.
7. Shortcut Operation
7.1 Restore Factory Default Parameter Settings Operation
To restore factory default settings, enter the main setting interface, keep the speed at 0, and press and hold the plus and minus buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The display will show 'dEF'. Pressing plus or minus toggles between 'dEF-Y' (restore) and 'dEF-N' (do not restore). Press the toggle button to confirm. The display will show 'dEF-0' briefly, then automatically restore settings and exit to the main interface.
7.2 Trip Odometer Reset Operation
The display records trip odometer and odometer. The trip odometer is not automatically reset when the display is turned off and must be reset manually. The odometer cannot be reset. To reset the trip odometer, enter the main setting interface, keep the speed at 0, and press and hold the plus and toggle buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The main interface will flash during the reset process.
8. Quality Assurance and Warranty
8.1 Warranty Info
Yolin offers a limited warranty for product defects under normal use for 12 months from the date of factory shipment.
8.2 Warranty Does Not Cover
- Opening the shell.
- Damaged connectors.
- Scratches on the appearance after factory shipment.
- Scratched or broken wires.
- Failure or damage caused by force majeure (e.g., fire, earthquake) or natural disaster (e.g., lightning strike).
- Out of warranty period.
9. Wire Connection Diagram
9.1 Standard Wire Connection Sequence
The controller connector has 5 pins. The display connector (female and male terminals) also has 5 pins. The standard wire colors and their functions are:

Note: Some models use waterproof connectors where internal wire colors may not be visible.
10. Precautions
- Pay attention to general operating procedures when using the product. Do not plug or unplug the display while it is powered on.
- Avoid bumping the display.
- Do not change parameter settings arbitrarily, as this may affect normal riding.
- If the display malfunctions, send it to a repair center as soon as possible.
- Physical products may differ slightly from the manual due to normal upgrades. Refer to the physical products for accuracy.
