Camera Connection to NVR

There are two ways to connect cameras to an NVR:

  1. Connect to POE port NVR: For NVRs with POE ports, connect cameras directly.
  2. Connect to without POE port NVR: Before connecting, ensure the NVR, cameras, and POE switch router have matching IP schemes (e.g., if the router IP is 192.168.1.1, the camera IP must be 192.168.1.XX). Some POE NVR models support plug and play. If not, change the adding method to 'Manual'.

Note: The camera supports standard ONVIF protocol, allowing easy integration with third-party video recorders.

Frequently Asked Questions

5.1 Why can't I open the default IP address 192.168.1.110 via web browser?

The default IP address might not match your LAN's IP scheme. Check your computer's IP address and ensure it matches the camera's IP scheme (e.g., if your LAN is 192.168.1.xxx, set the camera IP to 192.168.1.123). Use the IP search tool to modify the camera's IP address if necessary. Refer to section 3.1 for details.

5.2 How to reset the password?

The default username is 'admin' and the password is '123456'. If you lose the password or want to reset the camera's settings, use the Ajdev search tool to find the camera IP and click the 'Batch Reset' button.

5.3 How to upgrade the IP camera?

  1. Obtain the correct firmware from the supplier.
  2. Upgrade using the web browser, Ajdevtools, or PC client.
  3. Navigate to Configuration > System > Update, browse for the firmware file, and click 'Upgrade'. Wait for completion.

5.4 How to fetch the RTSP video stream and http snapshot?

5.5 Why does the NVR not show image after adding your IP camera?

  1. Ensure the correct protocol, username, and password are used when adding the camera.
  2. Verify that the NVR and IP camera are on the same IP segment (e.g., NVR: 192.168.1.x, IP camera: 192.168.1.y).
  3. If the NVR does not support H.265, try changing the camera's encode mode to H.264 (Configuration > Camera > Video > Encode mode: H.264).
