Overview
Diagrams show the dimensions of the WLA-118SUBA. The main unit has dimensions of 535.0 mm (height front), 566.0 mm (width), and 760.0 mm (depth). Packed dimensions are 630 mm (height), 656 mm (width front), and 850 mm (depth).
Connections and Controls
AC IN: AC Input using PowerCon connector. Supports 100-120 V~ and 200-240 V~, 50/60 Hz.
AC LINK: For cascade power to other active loudspeakers. Do not exceed a total of 20 A (continuous current) for each line.
POWER: Power on switch. Ensure all audio connections are made before powering on.
INPUT: Balanced Combi jack / XLR input.
LINK: Balanced line output.
PRESET: DSP Preset control selector.
UPDATE: USB Input for software update. For service staff only.
NETWORK (RS485): Network connection using RS485 protocol. Control software can be downloaded from www.wharfedalepro.com/download/wla-a-control-software/. An optional USB-RS485-RJ45 convertor can be used for PC connection.
RS485 Network cable interface description: The network connection uses RS485 protocol and provides GUI control over the DSP parameters of each element. A 120 Ohm resistor can be used between pins 1 and 2 on an RJ45 connector to improve network total length, connected to the spare network port on the final speaker.
Optional Hardware
WLA-1 Common Fly Frame: Allows flying of WLA-118SUB(A) with WLA-115(A) or WLA-112(A) elements. Supports up to 3 pcs of WLA-118SUB(A). Note: WLA-118SUB(A) will not fly with WLA-121SUB(A).
SP-4 Pole: Connects the 18" subwoofer to a 12" or 15" element. Features dual angle 35 mm pole sockets for optimal coverage.
Note: Always ensure the floor is level and that all local and common sense safety rules are respected.
For system design, it is recommended to use EASE software (https://www.afmg.eu). The EASE library can be downloaded from https://www.wharfedalepro.com/download/wharfedale-pro-ease-library/
