Product Introduction

The U200 smart lock offers enhanced ease of use and functionality with Matter over Thread support, ensuring seamless interoperability across various smart home ecosystems. It provides keyless access without requiring drilling or modification of the door, operating the existing lock cylinder.

Compatibility and Requirements

Door Lock Compatibility

• Euro Mortise Locks: Supports Euro profile and select Scandi cylinders. Requires a cylinder with an Emergency Function.
• US Deadbolt Locks: Suitable for single-cylinder deadbolt locks with backsets of 2-3/8” (60 mm) and 2-3/4” (70 mm).

Additional Requirements

• A PH1 standard Phillips screwdriver is needed for installation.
• An installation video is recommended for optimal results.
• A 2-in-1 Matter Controller and Thread Border Router are required for smart automations.

Installation

Pre-installation Checks

• Interior Key: Key thickness ≤ 5mm, key handle length ≤ 39mm. Ensure the door can be unlocked from the outside with the key when the interior key is inserted.
• Interior Knob: Remove the knob and retain screws. Select the appropriate adapter for the lock cylinder tailpiece. Replace the lock cylinder if the knob cannot be removed.

Installation Methods

• Screw Installation: Secure the fixed plate using screws if the lock cylinder protrudes ≥ 3mm. Tighten screws with the provided hex key, avoiding over-tightening.
• 3M Adhesive Installation: Use 3M adhesive if the lock cylinder protrudes ≤ 3mm. Clean the area, apply adhesive, and press for 60 seconds. Heat with a hairdryer for removal.

Installing the Lock Body

• Open the battery cover and attach the lock to the fixed plate using screws. Rotate the knob to check for smooth operation and adjust screw tightness if needed.
• Install batteries and cover the battery plate.

Installing the Keypad

• Attach the keypad mounting plate to the door, ensuring the distance to the lock does not exceed 2 meters.
• Press the metal clip beneath the keypad and push upward to separate it from the mounting plate.
• Insert AAA batteries into the keypad and slide it down to lock it in place.

Lock Calibration

Calibrate the lock after installation using the Aqara Home app or directly on the lock:

1. Close and unlock the door from the inside.
2. Press and hold the Set button on the lock for 3 seconds.
3. The lock will beep twice, then rotate to unlock and lock positions. A tune indicates completion.

Note: Two beeps during calibration indicate failure. Re-adjust mounting screws if calibration fails or is inaccurate. Use the manual calibration feature in the Aqara Home app if issues persist.

Connecting to Aqara Home and Other Ecosystems

Connecting to Aqara Home

1. Download the Aqara Home app from your app store or by scanning the QR code.
2. Power on the device, bring your phone near it, open the app, tap '+', select 'Smart Lock U200', and follow instructions.
3. Enjoy exclusive features within Bluetooth range without a hub.

Connecting to Other Matter Ecosystems

1. Ensure a 2-in-1 Matter Controller and Thread Border Router are available.
2. Power on the door lock, press the Set button to enter pairing mode.
3. Use the third-party app to scan the Matter QR code or enter the setup code.
4. Share the device via the Matter app to add it to other platforms after initial binding.
5. To bind to a new ecosystem, remove the device from the current app and reset the door lock or Matter ecosystem via local settings.

Adding Apple Home Key (for iOS Users)

1. Requires the latest iOS or iPadOS and an Apple home hub (HomePod mini, HomePod, Apple TV 4K 3rd gen).
2. iPhone XS or newer with iOS 17.1+ and Apple Watch Series 4 or newer with watchOS 10.1+ are needed for the home key feature.
3. After connecting to Apple Home, home keys are generated in the Wallet app.
4. The "Works with Apple Home" badge indicates the accessory meets Apple's performance standards.

Local Settings through Keypad

• Add/Remove users and register fingerprints/passwords.
• Customize volume and language settings.

Quiet Lock and Unlock Mode

• Outdoor Quiet Unlock: Press Confirm, then verify credentials.
• Outdoor Quiet Lock: Press Confirm, then press Lock.
• Indoor Quiet Unlock: Slowly turn the knob to unlock.
• Indoor Quiet Lock: Slowly turn the knob to lock.

Auto-Lock

The lock automatically attempts to lock after closing the door. Calibration of open/close angles may be required via the Aqara Home app. Ensure the lock is secure before leaving.

Buttons Features and Operations

Reset Smart Lock U200

Aqara Home Users

1. Press and hold the Lock and Confirm buttons on the keypad simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter Reset Mode.
2. Verify the admin password or fingerprint. The lock will reset to factory settings.

Other Matter Ecosystem Users

1. Press and hold the Lock and Confirm buttons on the keypad simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter Reset Mode.
2. Press and hold the Reset button on the lock for 3 seconds. The lock will reset to factory settings.

Power Setup

Door Lock

Supports charging while in use. Use the supplied pouch to hang the charger on the door handle.

Keypad

Uses LR3 AAA batteries or a 12V-24V 0.5A AC/DC power supply.
