Remote Control
The remote control allows you to operate the TV functions. Key buttons and their uses are:
- Power Button [?]: Switch the TV between on/standby mode.
- Mute Button [?]: Mute the sound.
- Number Buttons (0-9): Select a program or enter multiple channel numbers.
- [Return Button]: Return to previous channel.
- P.MODE Button: Select picture mode.
- S.MODE Button: Select sound mode.
- MTS Button: Select audio channel.
- SLEEP Button: Set the TV sleep timer.
- SOURCE Button: Select input source.
- INFO Button: Display channel information.
- Volume [+/-] Buttons [?]: Adjust the volume.
- CH [+/-] Buttons: Select a channel.
- CC Button: Closed Caption.
- ASPECT Button: Select the aspect ratio.
- [OK Button]: Confirm the selection.
- Navigation Buttons [▲][▼][◀][▶]: Navigate the OSD (on-screen display) menu.
- MENU Button: Display the OSD (on-screen display) menu.
- EXIT Button: Exit the OSD (on-screen display) menu.
- Favorite Channel Buttons (A, B, C, D): Add or delete favorite channels.
- FAV Button: Select favorite channels.
- [Select HDMI Mode]: Select the HDMI mode.
- [Store Current Channel]: Single push switches to FAV channel; push and hold to store current channel.
- [Display Program List]: Display program list.
- [Select Favorite Program]: Select the favorite program.
- [Adjust Picture in VGA automatically]: Adjust the picture in VGA automatically.
- [Set up parental control]: Access parental control settings.
Remote Control Set Up
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 2xAAA batteries with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
- Replace the cover.
Installing the Stand
- Lay the TV face-down on a flat, cushioned surface to avoid damaging or scratching.
- Fix the left base stand to the TV using the 2 pcs provided screws.
- Fix the right base stand assembly to the TV using the 2 pcs provided screws.
Connecting to Your TV
This section details how to connect external devices to your Seiki SE32HY TV.
Front Panel Controls and Indicators
The front of the TV includes:
- Infrared Receiver: For remote control signals.
- POWER Indicator: Shows the TV's power status.
- Buttons: Volume -/+, Menu, Source/Power Button, Channel ^/v.
Back Panel Ports
The rear of the TV features the following input and output ports:
- AC Outlet: For connecting the TV's power cord.
- OPTICAL IN: Digital audio input.
- USB: For media playback or updates.
- PC AUDIO: Analog audio input, typically used with VGA connection.
- DTV/VGA: Digital TV tuner input or VGA video input for computers.
- HDMI 1 / HDMI 2: High-definition digital video and audio inputs.
- COMPONENT IN (Y, PB, PR): Analog video inputs for higher quality than composite.
- ANTENNA/CABLE IN: RF input for antenna or cable TV signals.
Connecting Devices
Power Connection: Plug the TV's power cord into a wall outlet.
Video and Audio Sources:
- DVD or Blu-ray Player, Satellite Receiver, Cable Box, Game Station: Connect using an HDMI cable to HDMI 1 or HDMI 2, a Component cable to COMPONENT IN, or an RF cable to ANTENNA/CABLE IN, depending on the device's outputs.
- Computer: Connect the computer's video output to the DTV/VGA port using a VGA cable. Connect the computer's audio output to the PC AUDIO port using a 3.5mm audio cable.
- Audio System: Connect the audio system's input to the TV's OPTICAL IN port using an optical cable, or to the PC AUDIO port using a 3.5mm audio cable.
- Antenna or Cable Box/Wall Jack: Connect to the ANTENNA/CABLE IN port using an RF cable.
- Headphones: Connect to the headphone jack on the TV (if available).
Note: Cables such as Audio Cable, Optical Cable, Component Cable, HDMI Cable, RF Cable, and VGA Cable are typically not included and must be purchased separately.
