Installation Steps
1. Install the electrostatic sticker
Park your car in a safe area with the engine off. Clean the windshield and install the electrostatic sticker in the recommended area, ensuring no air bubbles. Do NOT attach the dash cam with the sticker before camera calibration.
2. Connect the power supply
Connect the USB Type-C cable to the dash cam. Route the cable along the windshield edge, tucking it into seams (use the crowbar if needed), and run it to the car charger. Insert the car charger into the cigarette lighter. Ensure the cable is kept away from the airbag area.
Note: Securely position the car charging cable to avoid disruption.
3. Camera Calibration
Find a good position and angle. Start the car engine. Navigate to System Settings → AI → Camera Calibration. Align the vertical line to the center and the horizontal line to the vanishing point of the road on the preview screen. Ensure the dash cam does not interfere with the driver's view.
Note: AI accuracy is affected by installation position. Install carefully.
- Correct Calibration: Vertical line centered, horizontal line at vanishing point.
- Incorrect Calibration: Camera tilted.
- Incorrect Calibration: Engine cover occupies too much area.
4. Attach the Dash Cam
Remove the protective sticker from the dash cam bracket. Attach the bracket to the center of the electrostatic sticker. Press firmly to ensure the adhesive makes good contact. Lock the bracket to the dash cam; you will hear a snap.
5. Check and adjust the dash cam angle
Ensure the dash cam is at the correct angle. Adjust the camera angle up or down on the preview screen to confirm it is facing correctly.
6. Mount Attachment
To attach the mount, align the pins on the mount with the holes on the adhesive attachment and slide down until it clicks. To remove, slide up.
7. Rear Camera Installation
Select an installation location for the rear view. Clean the surface. Peel the protection film and fix the rear camera. Connect it to the front camera using the included rear camera cable.
8. Hiding the Cable
Ensure the cable does not obstruct the rear window view. Avoid kinks. Use the crowbar to pry open lining if necessary.
