Before You Begin
Mark Door Reference Lines.
1. Preparing Door (if necessary)
Ensure door preparation meets specifications. Backset can be 2-3/8" or 2-3/4". Minimum door thickness is 1-3/8" and maximum is 1-3/4".
Note: Altering or modifying this product may impact fire rating, safety features, and warranty. Consult compliance and ratings.
2. Installing Strike Plates
Install strike plates as required for the door frame.
3. Determining Handing
The hand of a door is determined from the secure side of the door (the side from which you initially unlock and enter).
Changing Handing (if necessary)
Instructions are provided for changing the lock from left hand to right hand. Ensure the bolt is in the retracted (unlocked) position before installation.
4. Installing Fire Cups
Both Fire Cups and a UL marked Latchbolt must be used to qualify for UL listing.
5. Adjusting Deadbolt Latch
If an adjustable deadbolt latch is provided, adjust it to the correct backset position (2-3/8" or 2-3/4").
6. Installing Deadbolt Latch & Latchbolt
Ensure the arrow stamped on the deadbolt is UP. The curved edge of the latchbolt should face the direction the door closes. The bolt must be in the retracted (unlocked) position. Ensure the mechanism is horizontal.
7. Installing Touchscreen Escutcheon
Mount the exterior touchscreen and ensure the bolt is in the retracted position.
8. Installing Exterior Deadbolt
Secure the exterior deadbolt assembly to the door.

10. Securing Back Plate to Door
Attach the back plate to the door using the provided screws. Ensure the wire harness is routed correctly to avoid pinching.
11. Testing Deadbolt & Latchbolt Operation
Test the operation of the deadbolt and latchbolt. For NTC623-ACC, test the key operation.
12. Attaching the Cable Assembly
Align and connect the wire connectors. Gently tug on the cables to ensure they are secure. Ensure the cable is routed as shown to avoid interference.
Installing Interior Lock
Complete the installation of the interior lock components.
Installing Batteries & Cover
Install batteries into the interior lock and attach the cover. Ensure the lock is properly fitted before fastening.
Programming Instructions
Creating Master PIN Code
Creating a Master PIN Code is required upon installation or after resetting the lock to factory default. Programming and use of the lock is not possible until this step is completed. The Master PIN code must be 4-8 digits.
Creating User PIN Codes
Up to 25 user PIN codes can be created (without a network module) or up to 12 with Bluetooth. User codes must be entered within 5 seconds of the touchscreen activating.
Unlocking Door with PIN Code
Activate the touchscreen, enter the Master or User PIN code, followed by the [✓] key.
All Code Lockout Mode
This feature, enabled by the Master code, restricts all user PIN code access. When enabled, a red locked padlock icon appears on the screen.
Automatic Re-lock Time
The unit can be set to re-lock automatically after a successful unlock. The duration can be configured in Advanced Lock Settings.
Inside Indicator Light
Located on the interior lock, this light shows the lock status (locked) and can be enabled or disabled.
Language Setting Mode
Choose English (1), Spanish (2), or French (3) for voice prompts.
Low Battery Warning
A flashing red indicator warns of low battery power. Use the cylinder key override if battery power is completely lost.
Master PIN Code
Used for programming and feature settings. Must be created before any other programming.
Network Module Setting
If an optional Network Module is installed, this setting allows the lock to connect with a network controller.
One Touch Locking
When the latch is retracted, activating the keypad will extend the latch. Alternatively, any valid PIN code can re-lock the door when One-Touch Re-lock is disabled.
Privacy Mode
Disabled by default. Pressing the privacy button for 4 seconds puts the lock in do-not-disturb mode (all PIN codes disabled).
Shutdown Time
The unit will shut down (flashing red) for sixty (60) seconds after the wrong code entry limit (5 attempts) is met.
Tamper Alert
An audible alarm sounds if the exterior lock is forcibly removed.
User PIN Code
Operates the lock. Maximum number of user codes varies by network module: up to 25 with Z-Wave Plus or Zigbee, up to 12 with Bluetooth. Without a network module, the maximum is 25.
Volume Setting Mode
Sets the volume for PIN code verification: Low (default), High, or Silent.
Wrong Code Entry Limit
After five unsuccessful PIN code entry attempts, the unit shuts down for sixty (60) seconds.
