Product Structure Diagram & Accessories
The Super 8 Converter features a film path with a back reel, reel shaft, keyboard plate, 2.4" screen, take-up reel, film holder, winding column, and film selector switch. It supports both 8mm and Super 8 film formats.

Important Notes:
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify any part of the scanner.
- Avoid touching the inner parts of the scanner if the unit has been dropped or damaged.
- Discontinue use immediately if you notice smoke or an unusual smell.
Important Usage Notes
- Insert the SD card (Class 6 or higher) before starting operation.
- Avoid using the device in dusty or damp environments.
- Do not overload USB connections on your computer.
- Use standard film sizes.
- Ensure the scanner is clean for optimal image quality.
- Unplug the USB cord or adapter when the unit is not in use for extended periods.
- Note: This item can be loud during operation; be mindful of others.

Reel Folding Methods
This section describes how to mount film reels onto the device, accommodating reels with different hole diameters.
Reel hole diameter 8mm:

Film Install Methods
This section details the process of threading the film through the Super 8 Converter.

Steps:
- Insert film into the designated area.
- Clamp the film securely.
- Clip the film into place.
Available Film Types
The converter supports standard 8mm and Super 8 film formats.

Power and Recording Operations
Power on/off
- Power On: Insert the SD card (Class 6 or higher), connect the DC12V power cable, and press the POWER button. The status light will illuminate, and the motor will revolve twice, entering preview mode.
- Power Off: Briefly press the POWER button. The status light will turn off.
Video Recording
- Press the POWER button to enter preview mode.
- Press the OK button to select the desired resolution/size before starting the recording.
- Press the OK button again to stop the video recording.
- The scanning speed is 2 frames per second. If needed, press the OK button to stop scanning within 15 seconds of it starting.
- A red indicator light will flash once per second on the screen, and the display will show a countdown timer during operation.
- The converter will automatically stop after the set recording time is finished.
Fast Forward
To fast forward the film:
Press the Fast Forward button (▶️▶️), then press OK to start FAST FORWARD. Press OK again to stop FAST FORWARD.

Function Setting Menu
Access the settings menu by pressing the MENU button. Use the LEFT or RIGHT buttons to navigate through options and the OK button to select. Press MENU again to exit the current menu.
To access the system setting menu, press the MENU button.
Sharpness
Sharpness can be adjusted from Low to High. The default setting is Medium.
Frame ADJ (Frame Adjustment)
This feature allows adjustment of the Movie Register, specifically the film's center position (X and Y coordinates).
- Select X, Y, or W (zoom) by pressing the Enter button.
- X: Shifts the center left or right.
- Y: Shifts the center up or down.
- W: Zooms in or out.
Adjust the values of X, Y, and W using the Up or Down buttons.

Note: The scanner saves the last used setting when switched off.
Save the Video to PC
- Connect the USB cable.
- Press the MENU button to enter MENU mode.
- Select the USB option and press OK to enter upload mode.
- Press the MENU button or unplug the USB cable to exit upload mode and return to preview mode.
Uploading: In upload mode (U-disk mode), you can copy or cut files to your computer for playback. Alternatively, remove the SD card and use a card reader to access the data.
Fast Forward Operation
Film installed, follow these steps for fast forward:
Press the Fast Forward button (▶️▶️), then press OK to start FAST FORWARD. Press OK again to stop FAST FORWARD.

Warnings and Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
- Read all instructions before use.

- Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near heat sources.
- Use on a level, stable surface.
- Do not cover the item in any way when in use, as this may cause overheating.
- Use this appliance only for its intended purpose.
- Ensure sufficient clearance (at least 10cm) around all faces of the appliance and between the appliance and other items on the work surface.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the power cable, plug, or appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged power cable or plug, or after it has malfunctioned or been damaged. Ensure the power cable is not kinked or stored in a twisted manner, and check its condition regularly.
- Any repairs must be conducted by a qualified electrician or electrical service agent.
Care and Cleaning Instructions
- Always switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Do NOT immerse the appliance in water, as this poses a risk of electric shock.

Plug Wiring (UK & Ireland)
This appliance is supplied with a mains adaptor/charger featuring BS1363 plug pins.
- DO NOT use if your home or office socket outlets are not compatible with the adaptor/charger plug pins. Attempting to insert the adaptor/charger into an incorrect socket may cause electric hazards or damage.
- DO NOT use any other mains transformer/charger than the one supplied with this product.
Disposal
- Coopers of Stortford utilizes recyclable or recycled packaging whenever possible.
- Please dispose of all packaging materials (paper, cartons, etc.) in accordance with your local recycling regulations.
- The plastic components of this product are made from recyclable plastic: ABS.

Unsuitable Film Conditions
Please ensure your film is well preserved. Film with the following conditions is unsuitable for conversion:
- BROKEN HOLE
- RUPTURE
- BENDING DEFORMATION
- TORN FILM
- TAPE OVERLAPS HOLE IN FILM
- GAP TOO WIDE BETWEEN FILM ENDS
- TWO FILM ENDS NOT IN LINE
- SPLICING TAPE CROOKED

In preview mode, press the Playback button (▶️), then press OK to play. Press the Menu button (☰) to access playback options.
