- ? Battery Handling: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Dispose of batteries and products according to local laws. Do not dispose of in fire, hot ovens, or by crushing/cutting. Avoid extremely low air pressure, high temperatures (direct sunlight, near fire), immersion in water, or seawater.
- ? Remote Control Batteries: Requires two AA (R6) batteries. Use Manganese batteries to avoid risk of explosion.
- ? Servicing Information: [Servicing Information Symbol] alerts the user to important operating and maintenance instructions.
- ? Optical Instruments: Using optical instruments with this product will increase eye hazard.
- ? Children: Do not allow children to operate this product without supervision.

General Precautions
- Do not place objects in front of the lens that may block light; heat may damage the object.
- Check that the operating voltage matches your local power supply.
- If liquid or solid objects fall into the cabinet, unplug and have it checked by qualified personnel.
- Unplug if not used for several days. Pull the plug, not the cord, to disconnect.
- Ensure the wall outlet is near and accessible. The unit is not disconnected from AC power as long as it is plugged in, even if turned off.
- Do not place the unit near medical devices (e.g., pacemakers) as magnets may interfere. Consult a doctor if you use such devices.
- Sony is not liable for damages resulting from use for purposes other than general home use.
Notes on Installation and Usage
- Unsuitable Installation Locations: Avoid placing the unit in hot/humid conditions, locations subject to direct cool or warm air from air conditioners (may cause condensation/temperature rise), near heat or smoke sensors (may cause malfunction), or in very dusty/smoky locations.
- Near Walls: Maintain clearances: 30 cm (11 7/8 inches) on sides, 5 cm (2 inches) front/rear, 15 cm (6 inches) bottom. Note that walls near ventilation holes may become hot. Airflow from AC units or other devices may cause screen oscillation; avoid installing where this airflow reaches the front of the unit.
- Poorly Ventilated Location: Leave more than 30 cm (11 7/8 inches) space around the unit.
- Unsuitable Conditions: Do not tilt the unit (front/rear/left/right); this can cause trapezoidal image distortion. Install only on a level surface or ceiling.
- High Altitudes: If operating above 1,000 m (approx. 3,280 feet), set "High Altitude Mode" in the Setup menu to maintain reliability.
- Ceiling Installation: Consult qualified Sony personnel. Never mount or move the projector alone. Use a safety wire to prevent falling. Entrust installation to an experienced contractor. Dealers must secure the cabinet cover firmly.
- Leaving Unused: Periodically turn on and operate the unit to prevent malfunction or performance drop.
- LCD Projector Characteristics: Tiny black or bright points are normal manufacturing results. Color reproduction may vary between units of the same model.
- Condensation: If condensation occurs due to rapid temperature changes, run the projector for about two hours before use.
- Security: Sony is not liable for security failures. Protect your network. Recommended: use Web browser for control, change access limitations, set a strong password. Close Web browser after settings to prevent unauthorized access. Connect to a protected network (router/firewall).
