2. Product Description

The device intelligently controls the heat flow to the radiator via its valve. With the Moeshouse thermostatic radiator valve, you can conveniently set the room temperature between 5 and 30 °C, saving over 15% energy. The device is part of the Tuya smart home system and operates using the ZigBee 3.0 protocol. All devices in the system can be easily and individually configured using the Tuya mobile application. The device allows temperature regulation in individual rooms. The radiator thermostat is compatible with all standard radiator valves and can be easily installed without draining water or interfering with the heating system. Thanks to the additional quick heating function, the valve opens for 5 minutes, rapidly heating the radiator. The heat emitted by the radiator quickly makes the room comfortably warm.

3. Device Description

The Moes TV01 Zigbee Thermostat Radiator Valve features an intuitive display and control buttons. The main display shows the date and temperature. Key indicators include:

ZigBee signal: Indicates network connectivity.
Boost: Activates rapid heating.
Auto mode: Automatic temperature control.
Manual mode: Manual temperature setting.
Holiday mode: Special mode for extended absences.
Ring nut: For mounting the device.
Indicator icon in week programming stage: Shows when weekly programming is active.
Set date/time: Icon for setting date and time.
Prg:Programming: Indicates programming mode.
Open window: Detects open windows.
Comfortable temperature: Icon for comfort mode.
Low battery: Indicates low battery level.
ECO temperature: Icon for energy-saving mode.
Offset temperature: Indicates temperature offset setting.
Week display: Shows the day of the week.
Pair/Boost/Return key: Multi-function button for pairing, boost, and returning to previous menus.
Comf/ECO Menu: Button to switch between comfortable and energy-saving modes, also acts as a confirm key.
+/- buttons: Used to adjust temperature, date, and time (press or hold).

4. Initial Operation

4.1 Before First Use

Prepare 2x AA batteries to power the TRV.
The TRV requires a smart gateway for connection.
Temperature is displayed in Celsius degrees.

4.2 Inserting (Replacing) Batteries

To insert or replace batteries:

Remove the battery compartment cover from the underside of the device.
Insert 2 new LR6 (Mignon/AA) batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring they are correctly oriented.
Replace the battery compartment cover and snap it into place.

The lifespan of new alkaline batteries is approximately 1.5 years. The battery symbol (?) on the display indicates that the batteries need to be replaced. After removing discharged batteries, wait about 1 minute before inserting new ones. This device supports the use of rechargeable batteries.

4.3 Setting Date and Time

Once batteries are inserted or replaced, the device will automatically prompt for date and time settings after briefly displaying the firmware version number.

Use the +/- buttons to set the year, month, day, hour, and minute, then confirm with the Menu button. Pressing the Boost button during date and time setting will return you to the previous menu.
