Eberle FIT 3F Floor Temperature Controller

Installation and Operation Manual

Model: FIT 3F

Part Number: 468 931 003 679-3

1. Functional Principle

The programmable FIT thermostat allows setting switching times (up to 9 per day) and temperatures according to personal habits. After installation, the controller automatically displays the current time and floor temperature. In Automatic mode (AUTO), heating is regulated based on the switching times and temperatures set in Program 1. Temperature regulation is dependent on the floor temperature measured by the remote sensor. Heating activates when the temperature drops below the set value.

2. Installation

Caution: The device must only be opened and installed by a qualified electrician according to the wiring diagram in the housing cover or this manual. Existing safety regulations must be observed. To meet the requirements of Protection Class II, appropriate installation measures must be taken. This independently mountable electronic device is intended for temperature regulation exclusively in dry, closed rooms with normal ambient conditions. The device complies with EN 60730 and operates according to mode of operation 1C.

3. Usage

The electronic floor temperature controller FIT 3F can be used for regulating floor temperature in conjunction with:

4. Features

5. Mounting

The controller should be mounted in a location easily accessible for operation. Installation is typically in a 60 mm flush-mounted box ("55er" standard). Steps involve detaching the control unit and trim frame, then mounting in reverse order. Caution: Mount only in non-conductive (plastic) flush-mounted boxes.

Electrical Connection: Connect according to the wiring diagram. Suitable for solid and flexible conductors, cross-section 1 to 2.5 mm². Caution: Ensure the line is de-energized before connecting.

Remote Sensor Connection: A remote sensor is necessary for the FIT 3F. It should be mounted to accurately capture the temperature to be regulated, preferably in a protective tube for easier replacement. The sensor cable can be extended up to approx. 50 m using a 2-core cable for 230 V. Avoid close parallel runs with mains cables, e.g., in cable conduits. Caution: Sensor lines carry mains voltage.

Wire Stripping: Maximum wire stripping length is 8 mm. When inserting or removing flexible wires, press the actuator. Wires must be mounted so the plastic strip acts as insulation to the mounting screw.

Programming Notes:

9. Function Description and Operation

Language Selection: If the language is not pre-set, the user must select it. Prompt appears on first start or after reset. Select desired language using [+/-] and confirm with [OK] twice. AUTO mode will then be displayed.

How to Use the FIT Temperature Controller:

Buttons:

Main Menu: Use [+/-] to select menu items, [OK] to confirm/activate.

G USER SETTINGS:

  1. Select Program: Choose from pre-set programs (see 8.). Changes are not saved on program switch. (Default: P1)
  2. Set Switching Times: Adjust time and temperature for the selected day (of the active program). Switching times can be reduced or extended up to 23:50 (indicated by '>>>' for next day). Max 9 switching times. Times can be set for day blocks (Mon-Fri, Sat/Sun, Mon-Sun). Press [V] multiple times to exit programming.
  3. Set Clock: Set date and time.
  4. Heating Off: Turns off the controller output (display OFF). Frost protection remains active if enabled (H6). Re-enable by activating a mode (AUTO, MAN, etc.) or pressing [V] for 10 sec. AUTO is activated upon re-enabling via [V] or this menu.
