Installation Guide
This guide outlines the steps for installing your Moen faucet. Please refer to the original diagrams for visual reference of parts (labeled A-O).
- Step 1: Place the faucet body (A) onto the sink, aligning it with the mounting holes.
- Step 2: From underneath the sink, slide the gasket and washers (part of B, H, I) onto the faucet shanks.
- Step 3: Secure the faucet by attaching the mounting bracket (K) and tightening the mounting nuts (L, M) onto the studs (G).
- Step 4: Install the drain assembly (B) into the sink opening, using plumber's putty around the drain opening for a seal.
- Step 5: Connect the drain tailpiece (F) to the faucet's drain outlet.
- Step 6: Insert the lift rod (E) through the faucet body. Connect the lift rod to the pop-up drain rod (D) using the strap (N).
- Step 7: Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the faucet inlets.
- Step 8: Connect the other ends of the supply lines to the shut-off valves.
- Step 9: If using the anti-vandal option (O), install it according to its specific instructions.
- Step 10: Turn on the water supply and check all connections for leaks.
Consumer Information: Lead in Water
Faucets made of leaded brass alloys may contribute small amounts of lead to water that is allowed to stand in contact with the brass. The amount of lead contributed by any faucet is highest when the faucet is new. The following steps may reduce potential exposure to lead from faucets and other parts of the plumbing system:
- Always run the water for a few seconds prior to use for drinking or cooking.
- Use only cold water for drinking or cooking.
- If you are concerned about lead in your water, have your water tested by a certified laboratory in your area.
