1. Application

The 100 Series BOD Incubator is thermostatic equipment with cooling function, highly precise and advanced. It is widely used in biological genetic engineering, medical treatment, health and epidemic prevention, medical tests, agriculture and animal husbandry, aquaculture, and other scientific research institutions for plant cultivation, breeding tests, bacteria, mold, microbial cultivation & preservation, and BOD determination, etc.

2. Product Structure

The BOD Incubator features a digital display, power switch, lamp, fan, shelf, and adjusting screw for the feet. The exterior is constructed from high-quality steel sheet, while the inner chamber is made of mirror stainless steel. It includes a large observation window with a built-in lighting lamp and a silicone door seal.

Key Components:

3. Features

The incubator body is made of high-quality steel sheet with an attractive appearance. It is equipped with a large observation window and a built-in lighting lamp, allowing clear observation of samples inside. The inner chamber is made of mirror stainless steel and features an adjustable shelf, making it easy to clean and durable.

4. Working principle

Biological incubators transfer actual temperature detected from the temperature sensor into a signal. This signal is processed by a microcomputer to control the heater and compressor to reach the required temperature.

5. Technical parameter

Temperature Range 0~60°C
Temperature Fluctuation ±1% (150L)
Temperature Accuracy ±0.5°C
Power Voltage AC 220V/50Hz
Input Power 385W (70L, 100L); 420W (150L, 250L)
Working Ambient Temperature 10~30°C, relative humidity below 70%

Equipment Classify Class I Type B

6. Installation

  1. The equipment should be installed in a ventilated place and avoid direct sunlight. The distance between the equipment and the wall must be greater than 10 CM.
  2. Keep the incubator balanced via the adjusting screw (refer to technical drawing).
  3. For safety, connect the AC 220V/50HZ power supply with a protective conductor (thermal).
  4. Install this equipment in a location far from fire sources.

7. Control panel

The control panel includes indicators for heat, cool, alarm, defrost, and UV lighting, as well as keys for setting temperature, time, and other parameters.

Indicator and key instruction:

8. Operation

  1. After power connection, the left screen displays the index number and version number, and the right screen displays the maximum setting temperature. The unit enters normal mode after 3 seconds.
  2. View and set temperature and time of constant temperature:
    • Without timing function: Press the "set" key to enter temperature setting mode. The left screen displays "SP", and the right screen displays the setting temperature (flashing digit by digit). Modify the value using the shift, increase, or decrease keys. Press "set" again to log out; the modified data is saved automatically.
    • With timing function: Press the "set" key to enter temperature setting mode. Modify as above. Press "set" again to enter timing setting mode. The left screen displays "ST", and the right screen displays the timing time (flashing digit by digit). Press "set" again to log out; the modified data is saved automatically.
When timing is "0", it means no timing function. The controller runs continuously, and the right screen displays the setting temperature. When timing time is not "0", the right screen displays the running time or setting temperature. If the running time is displayed, the decimal point on the right screen's single digit is on. When the measured temperature reaches the setting temperature, the timer starts. The decimal point on the right screen's single digit flashes. When the timing is over, the unit stops running, the right screen displays "End", and a beeper sounds for 1 minute. After the run is over, a long press of the "decrease" key for 3 seconds reboots the unit.
  3. Sensor alarms abnormally: If the left screen displays "---", it indicates a problem with the temperature sensor or controller, or the temperature is outside the set range. The controller will automatically disconnect heating output, a beeper will sound, and the alarm indicator will turn on. Check the temperature sensor and other connections.
  4. Oven-temperature alarming: When the oven temperature alarms, the beeper sounds, and "ALM" is displayed. If the alarm is due to a changed setting temperature, "ALM" is off, and there is no beep.
  5. Press any key to mute the beeper.
  6. If no key is pressed within 1 minute in setting mode, the unit automatically returns to normal mode.

9. View and set intrinsic parameters

Long press the "set" key for 3 seconds. The left screen displays "Lc", and the right screen displays the password. You can modify the required value using the "increase", "decrease", or "shift" keys. Press the "set" key again. If the password is incorrect, the controller returns to normal mode. If correct, it enters the temperature setting mode. Press "set" again to modify parameters. A long press of the "set" key for 3 seconds logs out of this mode, and the data is saved automatically.

  1. Keep the biochemical incubator upright when moving it.
  2. To prolong the equipment's lifetime, do not change setting values frequently.
  3. This equipment is equipped with two fuses. If there is a malfunction during operation, disconnect the power supply first, check the fuses for damage, and then inspect other parts.
  4. To maintain the equipment's appearance, do not clean it with corrosive solutions. Clean the inner chamber with a dry cloth and alcohol.
  5. If the equipment is stored, keep the inner chamber dry and disconnect the power supply.
  6. To ensure uniform temperature, frequently check if the fan is working normally. Samples should not be crowded in the inner chamber.
