Bryton Rider 35 GPS Cycling Computer
Buttons and Controls
The Rider 35 features several buttons for operation:
Button Layout: A diagram shows the Bryton Rider 35 device with its primary buttons. Button 1 is labeled 'Power / Back', Button 2 is 'Start / Stop', Button 3 is 'Mode / Up', and Button 4 is 'Lap / Down'. Smaller buttons labeled 'MODE' and 'BACK' are also indicated.
- Button 1 (Power / Back): Press and hold to turn the Rider 35 on or off. Press to return to the previous page or cancel an operation.
- Button 2 (Start / Stop): In menu mode, press to enter or confirm a selection. In free cycling mode, press to start recording. Press again to stop recording.
- Button 3 (Mode / Up): Press to switch modes: Meter, Find & Go, Altitude Chart, and My Buddy. In menu mode, press to move up to scroll through menu options.
- Button 4 (Lap / Down): In menu mode, press to move down to scroll through menu options. While recording, press to start to record a lap.
Resetting the Rider 35
To reset the Rider 35, press and release both the [Power/Back Button] and the [Lap/Down Button] at the same time.

Note: Training Plan and Log Record are displayed only when they are in progress.
Charging the Battery
To charge the battery, connect your Rider 35 to your computer using the USB cable.
Turning On the Rider 35
Press and hold the Power button [?] to turn on the Rider 35.
Acquire Satellite Signals
Once the Rider 35 is turned on, it will automatically search for satellite signals. It may take 30 to 60 seconds to acquire signals.
Initial Setup
When turning the Rider 35 on for the first time, the setup wizard appears on screen. Follow the instructions to complete setup:
- Select the display language and time zone.
- Select the unit of measurement.
- Enter your "user profile". (It is recommended to input the data, as data accuracy highly affects your training analysis.)
- Read and accept the Safety Agreement.
Note: If you want to change the language on the device, change the setting via Bryton Bridge -> Rider 35 -> Language.
Ride Your Bike with Rider 35!
Enjoy your rides with the Rider 35:
- Ride using the free cycling mode or set up a training program through the Menu options.
- Press the [Mode Button] ⚙️ to switch between modes.
- Select from the available modes: Meter, Find & Go, Altitude Chart, and My Buddy.
- In free cycling mode, press [Start/Record Button] ▶️ to start recording your ride. Press again to stop recording.
Manage Rider 35 Data via Your Computer
To manage your ride data:
- Connect your Rider 35 to your computer using the USB cable.
- Install the Bryton Bridge application. You can download it from http://corp.brytonsport.com/supportSDownload.html or use the bundled CD.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer data to your computer.
