Notice

- Improper installation will void the manufacturer's warranty. The installation instructions do not apply to all types of vehicles and are written as guidelines to assist in installing the system.
- Consult with an experienced technician if you are not comfortable installing the device on your own.
- Please make sure to read and understand local laws and regulations regarding cameras and their use in a vehicle. Laws may vary by state.
- Do not obscure the view of the road ahead or obstruct the deployment of any airbags in the event of an accident.
- When not in use, please disconnect the car adapter from both the 12/24V DC outlet in your vehicle and the device itself.
- Only clean the device with a soft dry cloth; for tough dirt, apply some neutral detergent diluted in 5 to 6 parts water on a soft cloth.
- Note that alcohol, thinner, benzene, etc. could cause damage to the paint or coatings on the device.
- Avoid making contact with the lens as this may cause damage.
- The video recordings made by this device are intended for personal use only.
- While driving, do not adjust the controls of your device, as it may draw your attention from your surroundings.

Appearance
The REDTIGER F9 dash cam features a compact design. The main unit includes:
- 1. 3M Adhesive: For mounting the device.
- 2. Memory Card Slot: Located on the side for inserting the microSD card.
- 3. Power Button: Used for turning the device on/off and other functions.
- 4. Front Camera Lens: The primary lens for capturing road footage.
- 5. Rear Cam Slot: Port for connecting the rear camera cable.
- 6. USB Type-C Port: For power input and data transfer.
- 7. Adjustable Mounting Bracket (GPS inside): Allows for positioning and includes GPS functionality.
- 8. Status Light: Indicates device status. A blue light signifies the device is powered on, while a red light flashing indicates recording is in progress.
APP and Wi-Fi Function
How to connect Wi-Fi?
- Download the app: You can download the app from the Official Website: https://www.redtigercam.com/pages/app, by scanning the QR Code located on your dash cam, or by searching "Redtiger" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Turn on the Wi-Fi on the dash cam; the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password will appear on the display.
- Open the Redtiger App, navigate to the Wi-Fi connection interface, find the dash cam's Wi-Fi, and enter the password to connect. The default password is 12345678.
- After successfully connecting to Wi-Fi, return to the App to use its features.
View/Download/Delete/Share Video
- Click the icon on the main interface to view video and image files.
- Long press a video file to select it, then choose whether you would like to download or delete it.
- Return to the App home page and select the Album to open and watch/share your recordings.
App Home Interface
The REDTIGER app interface displays key information and controls:
- 1. Native Wi-Fi Name: The name of the dash cam's Wi-Fi network.
- 2. Turn on/off recorded sound: Button to control audio recording.
- 3. Switch recording screen: Option to change the view between front and rear cameras.
- 4. GPS information: Displays current GPS coordinates and speed.
- 5. Video play window: Shows the live or recorded video feed.
- 6. Rotate the video screen left and right: Allows screen orientation adjustment.
- 7. Map: Displays a map with the vehicle's route.
- 8. Dash cam file: Access to stored video files.
- 9. Pause/start recording: Control button for recording.
- 10. Take pictures: Button to capture still images.
- 11. Dash cam settings: Access to device configuration options.
Over-The-Air Updates & How to Play Using a Computer
Over-The-Air Updates
Note: Please update the Redtiger App to the latest version to use this function.
- To perform an over-the-air update, disconnect your phone from the dash cam's Wi-Fi network. Connect your phone to a LAN (not the dash cam's Wi-Fi) for 5 seconds, then disconnect. Reconnect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network.
- Once Wi-Fi connection is successful, open the Redtiger App. If new software is detected, the App page will indicate the availability of an update.
- To perform the update, click on "Upgrade Now". The Redtiger app will prompt you to download the update package.
- Connect the dash cam to send the update package. Do not power off the dash cam during the upgrade process. Once the upgrade is completed, the app will display the upgrade success message, and the dash cam will automatically restart.
How to Play Using a Computer
REDTIGER recommends using the REDTIGER Player as the video player for watching recordings and viewing Google Maps. You can download it for free on Mac or Windows from: https://www.redtigercam.com/pages/gps-player. Within the player, you can choose different playback modes, set playback speed, language, and map display.
REDTIGER Player Interface
The REDTIGER Player interface displays video playback and associated data:
- 1. Video play window (Front): Shows the front camera footage.
- 2. Video play window (Rear): Shows the rear camera footage.
- 3. Map and track display: Visualizes the route taken with GPS data.
- 4. Play control panel: Standard playback controls (play, pause, seek, etc.).
- 5. Speed and driving state indication: Displays speed and driving status information.
- 6. Play list: Lists available video files for playback.
Note: If front and rear road tracks are recorded synchronously, they can be played separately in split screens. To play a file, drag it from the playlist to the video play window.
Installation
⚠️ WARNING: Please make sure to connect all cameras and wires before powering on the camera screen, otherwise the camera will not work properly. Please follow the instructions below for the first-time installation of the REDTIGER dash cam. Scan the QR code on the right to view the installation tutorial video.
Insert Memory Card
Insert the memory card into the dash cam, ensuring that the gold contacts are facing towards the screen of the dash cam. Push the memory card until it clicks into the slot.

Front Camera Installation
Peel off the electrostatic sticker from its protective film and transfer it to the desired mounting location on the windshield. Attach the front camera to the electrostatic sticker and firmly press to secure it.

Mount The Rear Camera
- Open the trunk of the vehicle, remove the screws, and then remove the plastic panel.
- Pry open the license plate light housing and pass the rear camera cable through the hole where the license plate light is located.
Note: This rear camera is designed to tolerate various environmental conditions and is best suited for external installation. Lens parameters are optimized for outdoor use. It is recommended to install the camera on top of the license plate frame. If this is not feasible, a license plate frame bracket is available.
Wire Layout In The Vehicle
- Connect the car charger to the vehicle's cigar socket (12/24V DC outlet).
- Connect the other end of the car charger's cable to the dash cam's power port.
- Use the provided tool (e.g., crowbar) to run the power cable along the front windshield and the roof, then hide the cable down the A-pillar, ensuring it does not block the driver's sight.
- Connect the interface of the rear camera cable with the interface of the rear cam cable.
- Hide the rear cam cable along the gaps between the front windshield and the ceiling, along the car body and ceiling on the side of the passenger seat, and between the rear seats and the ceiling.

Trouble Shooting
WIFI CONNECTION GOES WRONNG
Connection Prepare
- Ensure mobile data / VPN is turned off.
- Be within 16 feet of your F9 dash cam.
- Only one device connection is allowed at a time.
Connection Notice
- The default Wi-Fi password is: 12345678.
- You may need to connect only for the current session.
OTHER PROBLEM
Won't enter Parking Mode
- A hardwire kit is needed (must be purchased separately).
- If the app shows an "ACC disconnected" pop-up after connecting the hardwire kit, it indicates an incorrect connection.
Camera always on after Car turned down
- If powered by a hardwire kit: Ensure correct connection of the Red wire and Yellow wire.
- If powered by car charger: The cigarette lighter socket may still have power after the car is turned off.
OTHER PROBLEM
Over Heat
The camera should operate within the temperature range of -4°F to 158°F (-20°C to 70°C).
RECEIVED DEAD CAMERA?
Use a USB cable to connect your camera with a computer and verify that the indicator light is blinking. If the indicator is not blinking, please contact REDTIGER directly.
ULTIMATE SOLUTION
Use different charging methods to verify if the camera is working:
- Unplug all cables from the camera.
- Plug in a Type-C USB charger to check if the camera powers on. If not, try using your personal USB charger and check again.
- Check if your SD card is U3 Class10. If not, please replace it with one that is U3 Class10.
- Insert the SD card and check if the camera is working. If not, please contact REDTIGER.
- If the methods above do not solve your problem, feel free to contact REDTIGER. Please provide your contact information and current address, which may be needed if a replacement is warranted.
