Connecting the Earbuds to a Mobile Device
Connecting to a Samsung Mobile Device for the First Time
- Check the direction of each earbud. Insert them correctly into their corresponding slots in the charging case and close it. If the earbud battery indicator lights do not flash, connect the charging cable and charge them for at least 10 minutes.
- Open the charging case. The earbuds will enter Bluetooth pairing mode automatically, and a pop-up window will appear on your mobile device.
- If the pop-up window does not appear, or for connection to a non-Samsung Android device, refer to the next section.
- On your mobile device, tap "Connect" on the pop-up window and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.
Diagram Description: A sequence of images shows earbuds being placed into the charging case, the case closing, a Bluetooth symbol, and a hand holding a smartphone displaying the earbuds connection interface.
Connecting to a Non-Samsung Android Device (or if Pop-up Window Does Not Appear)
- On your mobile device, launch the "Galaxy Apps" or "Play Store" and download the "Galaxy Wearable" app. Note: The Galaxy Wearable app requires Android operating system 5.0 (API 21) or later, and at least 1.5 GB of RAM.
- Check the direction of each earbud, insert them correctly into their corresponding slots in the charging case, and then close it. If the earbud battery indicator lights do not flash, connect the charging cable and charge them for more than 10 minutes.
- Open the charging case. The earbuds will enter Bluetooth pairing mode automatically.
- On your mobile device, launch the "Galaxy Wearable" app and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.
If the earbuds do not connect within three minutes, Bluetooth pairing mode will deactivate. If they have never been connected before, close and reopen the charging case.
Charging the Battery
When the battery is completely discharged, it needs at least 10 minutes to turn on.
- Check the direction of each earbud and correctly insert them into their corresponding slots in the charging case.
- Close the charging case and connect the USB cable to the charging port.
Diagram Description: An illustration shows earbuds being placed into the charging case, followed by an image of the closed charging case connected to a USB cable.
The batteries of the earbuds and the charging case charge simultaneously. The charging case has a built-in wireless charging coil and supports charging via a wireless charger or another device functioning as a wireless charger (Qi or D2D charging). Chargers are sold separately.
Important charging notes:
- The charger should remain close to the electric socket and easily accessible while charging.
- Close the charging case when you store or charge the earbuds.
Maintenance for charging terminals:
- If sweat or liquid is present on the charging terminals, corrosion may occur on the Galaxy Buds. Clean the charging terminals or earbuds before inserting them into the charging case.
- Ensure wingtips are attached in the correct direction. Earbuds will not charge if not properly inserted into the charging case.
