The WindTrak 15 is a 15-inch wind direction indicator designed for sailboats, offering precision and durability for sailors.
WindTrak 15 Features:

WindTrak Vane Positions at Different Apparent Wind Angles
The vane's position indicates the apparent wind angle relative to the boat. Diagrams illustrate positions for 'Going to', 'Beam', 'Broad', and 'Running' apparent wind angles.
Template for Setting Tacking Arm Angle
Use the provided template to set the angle of the reference tabs to display apparent upwind performance. Recommended angles are:
- 50° for high performance multi-hulls and foiling boats.
- 55° for race boats with extreme windward performance.
- 60° for normal ocean racers and cruising catamarans.
- 65° for heavy cruising boats.
WindTrak 15 Accessories
- #1705 Universal Masthead Mount: Extends the WindTrak 15 away from masthead obstructions. Features a 13" (33 cm) arm with hardware for top or side mounting and offset angles up to 20°. Compatible with WindTrak Light #3200.
- #3200 WindTrak Light: Enhances visibility of the WindTrak at night. Operates with low current (under 25 mA) and can be used with or without the #1705 mount.
- #3155 J-Base: Replaces the standard mounting base, allowing side, top, or front mounting on most masts.

Tips for Using Your WindTrak:
- Always assemble your WindTrak using Locktite® or silicone seal on the threads to prevent loosening due to vibration.
- Remove your WindTrak before unstepping the mast.
- Periodically check the assembly screws.
- Lubrication is not required. Rinse off salt or dirt build-up with fresh water occasionally.
