DJI Mic 3 Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your DJI Mic 3 wireless microphone system.
Getting Started: Attaching the Transmitter
The DJI Mic 3 transmitter (TX) can be attached to clothing in two ways:
- Using the Built-in Clip: Slide the transmitter's clip onto the edge of a shirt collar or pocket.
- Using the Magnetic Back: Attach the magnetic adapter to the back of the transmitter, then place it on clothing. The magnet will secure it in place.
A windjammer can be attached to the transmitter's microphone for reduced wind noise.
Charging the Devices
Both the transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) can be charged using USB-C cables. Connect the USB-C cable to the USB-C port on each device and to a power source.
Powering On and Pairing
Powering On: Press and hold the power button on both the TX and RX units for approximately 2 seconds until they turn on.
Pairing:
- With Smartphone: Connect the RX unit to a smartphone using the appropriate adapter. Open the DJI Mimo app on your smartphone. The system will automatically pair.
- With Camera: Follow the visual instructions to pair the TX and RX units with your camera.
Connecting to Cameras
Connecting to Cameras (e.g., DSLR/Mirrorless):
- Attach the RX unit to the camera's hot shoe or mounting point.
- Connect the RX unit's output port (labeled "OUT") to the camera's microphone input (MIC-IN) using a suitable cable.
Connecting to DJI Devices:
- The TX unit can be paired wirelessly with devices like the Osmo Action 4, Osmo Action 5 Pro, or Osmo Pocket 3.
- Press and hold the power button on the TX for 2 seconds to power it on.
- The TX will wirelessly connect to compatible DJI devices.

Device Components (Receiver - RX)
The receiver unit (RX) features the following:
- 1. USB-C Port: For charging and data transfer.

- 4. Output Port: For connecting to cameras, smartphones, or other recording devices.
- 5. Touchscreen: For adjusting settings and viewing status.
- 6. Dial: For navigating menus and adjusting parameters.
- 7. Power Button: To turn the device on/off.
- 8. Release Button: To detach the unit from its mount.
