The industrial-grade DTEX Series is available as VHF or UHF models, with or without a display, setting the standard for next-generation explosion-proof portable onboard equipment.
Standard features include both analog and digital* operating modes, a high-visibility OLED display, user-friendly controls designed for use with gloves, and an IP68 rating for the best possible protection against water ingress, ensuring the device remains undamaged in 2 meters of water for 4 hours.

The DTEX Series offers class-leading IP68 certification, making the device water-resistant for 4 hours in 2 meters of water. This is the highest IP rating from any manufacturer, ensuring protection against corrosion and the extreme conditions at sea!
Explosion-Proof
ATEX IIC Approval: The ATEX-certified DT900 Series portable devices meet the strictest ATEX classification according to EU Directive 2014/34/EU.
ATEX IIB Approval: The ATEX-certified DT800 Series portable devices meet Gas Group IIB.
IECEx IIB Approval: The explosion-proof certified DT500 Series portable devices are suitable for users who do not need to comply with European ATEX standards.
Voice Announcement (Display-less Models Only)
This programmable feature is available only on our display-less models. It provides the user with the assurance that they have selected the correct channel, allowing them to focus on the task at hand. This feature also provides confirmation of button settings, e.g., 'Keylock On', 'Keylock Off', battery status, and alerts the user when battery power is low.
The display on the UHF model shows both the channel number and frequency.
The VHF display shows the channel name and number.
Easily Reprogram Your Radios – Even at Sea!
With our free, unique, and easy-to-use PC application, you can easily reprogram DTEX radios while still onboard. The user-friendly app makes it simple to drag and drop a new program file from an email onto your DTEX radios. This is a straightforward process that can be performed by the user.
Benefits of Digitalization
In addition to exceptional audio, you benefit from a greater usable range without loss of quality or interference. There are two digital modes: 6.25 kHz Digital and DMR (see table below). The DTEX Series can be individually programmed for operation in digital or analog mode. Digital operation is only approved for use in the UHF marine band.

The robust, multi-pin interface and micro-USB socket are both waterproof and gold-plated to minimize the risk of damage and protect against corrosion. To ensure the integrity of the IS protection levels and to prevent the use of non-compliant accessories, any accessory connected to the handset automatically undergoes a validation process. All DTEX accessories feature a robust locking connector for added user protection.
