Getting Started
The Logitech A50 X is the ultimate console gaming headset, designed for simultaneous connection to XBOX Series X|S, PS5, and PC. Effortlessly switch between platforms directly from the headset. Featuring PRO-G GRAPHENE audio drivers for exceptional clarity and response, and Pro-grade LIGHTSPEED for superior wireless performance. Enjoy HDMI 2.1 passthrough for 24-bit audio and 4K 120 Hz for high-performance console gaming.
Setup Recommendations
For the best experience, utilize both HDMI and USB connectivity. The A50 X Base Station connects between your console and the TV/Display. One HDMI and one USB cable are required to link the Base Station to a Game Console, with an additional HDMI cable connecting the Base Station to your TV.
- When using HDMI and USB cables, the Game/Voice Balancer on the headset allows for adjustable audio and voice chat mixes for both XBOX and PlayStation consoles. Ensure both HDMI and USB cables are connected to the same port group for each platform.
Connectivity Options
Connecting to TV and Power
Connect the Base Station's HDMI Out to your TV's HDMI input using an HDMI cable. For optimal performance and features with HDMI 2.1, ensure your TV, HDMI cable, and source system all support HDMI 2.1. Using a lower-spec HDMI cable may impact your experience.
It is recommended to connect the A50 X directly to a console and TV, avoiding HDMI switches, signal repeaters, Audio/Video Receivers, or Sound Bars for optimal compatibility.
For users with soundbars or external speakers connected via HDMI ARC/eARC, connect the A50 X Base Station to a separate HDMI 2.1 input on the TV.
Powering the Device
Use the included USB Combo (Y) Cable to connect the Red USB-C to the Base Station's 5V DC port. Plug the Black USB-C into the supplied Power Adapter and then into a power source. The A50 X requires dedicated external power.
Connecting to Xbox
Connect an HDMI cable (not included) and a USB cable from your XBOX console to the ports labeled “XBOX” on the rear of the A50 X Base Station. Ensure the USB Combo (Y) Cable and Power Adapter are plugged into the Base Station's 5V DC USB-C port.
- Proper connection of both cables to the same port group is essential for Game/Voice balancing functionality.
- While not mandatory, using an HDMI cable rated for 2.1 Ultra High Speed is recommended for enhanced performance.
PC Connectivity
For PC connections, the A50 X utilizes USB-Audio with multiple endpoints, allowing flexible routing of media audio and voice chat. Balance your Game/Voice audio mix on-the-fly using the headset controls.
The headset supports various USB-Audio types for playback and recording, including stereo and mono options with different bit/sample rates for game audio, voice, and stream port.
Bluetooth Audio
The A50 X Base Station features an integrated Bluetooth receiver, enabling connection to secondary devices like smartphones or tablets for music and calls. For all audio playback, including Bluetooth, the headset must remain within the Base Station's range. Bluetooth volume can be managed directly from the source device.
