Compatibility Note

Please ensure your phone is compatible with wired CarPlay or Android Auto before using this wireless adapter.

• Wireless CarPlay: Requires an iPhone 6 or newer model with iOS 10 or higher.
• Wireless Android Auto: Requires an Android phone with version 11 or higher that supports the latest Android Auto features.

To verify vehicle compatibility with wired CarPlay or Android Auto:

1. Connect your iPhone or Android smartphone to the vehicle using a USB data cable.
2. The connection interface logo should appear on the car's display screen.

Apple CarPlay Setup

Follow these steps to connect your iPhone using Apple CarPlay:

1. Turn on the vehicle and wait for the system to fully load.
2. Insert the adapter into the vehicle's USB-A or USB-C port.
3. Once connected, the adapter's Bluetooth name will appear on the car's display as "SmartBox-xxxx".
4. On your iPhone, go to Settings, enable Bluetooth and WLAN.
5. In Bluetooth settings, find and select the adapter named "SmartBox-xxxx" from the "OTHER DEVICES" list.
6. Wait approximately 20-30 seconds for a "Bluetooth Pairing Request" notification on your phone. Tap Pair.
7. A dialog box will appear asking "Use CarPlay with 'SmartBox-xxxx'?". Tap Use CarPlay to establish the connection.
8. After successful Bluetooth pairing and CarPlay connection, the car screen will automatically switch to CarPlay mode.

Switching Between Phones (Apple CarPlay)

To connect a different phone:

1. On the currently connected phone, turn off both Bluetooth and WLAN.
2. Unplug and reinsert the adapter. (Important)
3. On the new phone, turn on Bluetooth, search for, and pair with the adapter's Bluetooth name "SmartBox-xxxx".
4. If prompted that Bluetooth is in use, try pairing multiple times to complete the switch.

Android Auto Setup

Follow these steps to connect your Android phone using Android Auto:

1. Turn on the vehicle and wait for the system to fully load.
2. Insert the adapter into the vehicle's USB-A or USB-C port.
3. Once connected, the adapter's Bluetooth name will appear on the car's display as "SmartBox-xxxx".
4. On your phone, go to Settings, enable Bluetooth and WLAN.
5. In Bluetooth settings, tap "Pair New Device" and select the adapter named "SmartBox-xxxx" from the "Available devices" list.
6. Wait approximately 20-30 seconds for a dialog box asking "Pair with SmartBox-xxxx?". Tap Pair to establish the connection.
7. After successful Bluetooth pairing and Android Auto connection, the car screen will automatically switch to Android Auto mode.

Reset Button Function

Use an ejector pin to access the reset button located in the small hole on the front of the device:

• Single click: Switches the Bluetooth connection between the two most recently paired phones.
• Double-click: Restores the device to factory settings.
• Press and hold: Clears all Bluetooth pairing history from the device.

LED Light Status

The LED indicator on the adapter provides status information:

• Red Green light or Red Blue light flashing alternately: Adapter is powered on.
• Green light flashing: CarPlay is connecting.
• Blue light flashing: Android Auto is connecting.
• Rainbow light flashing: CarPlay/Android Auto has been connected successfully.
