The operation of this device is prohibited on oil platforms, cars, trains, boats, and aircraft, except that operation of this device is permitted in large aircraft while flying above 10,000 feet.

Operation of transmitters in the 5.925-7.125 GHz band is prohibited for control of or communications with unmanned aircraft systems.

Safety Warnings

Adapter

Do not use any other power adaptor except for the one that accompanies this unit or a power adaptor identified in the list below. Use of another adapter could result in damage to the unit. The following power adaptor is qualified for use with this Verizon Router: This unit must be powered by LUCENT TRANS, model 1A98-1250 ; 12V, 5A, 60W

Caution

Ensure to connect the power cord of the power adapter to a socket outlet with a grounding connection. The cable distribution system should be grounded (earthed) in accordance with ANS/NFPA 70, the National Electrical Code (NEC), Article 820, in particular Section 820.93, Grounding of Outer Conductive Shield of a Coaxial Cable.

Chapter 1 Introduction

The Verizon Router provides superior Wi-Fi performance with Tri-band support and low latency to support gaming and VR use cases. The innovative design of the Verizon Router allows customers to connect their favorite devices to Verizon's 5G Network.

1.1 Unboxing Information

Inside the product package for the Verizon Router, you should find the following items:

  • Verizon Router × 1
  • Power adaptor × 1
  • Ethernet cable × 1

Description of items:

  • Verizon Router: A tall, white, rectangular device with a subtle Verizon logo at the bottom front. It features ventilation slots on the top.
  • Power adaptor: A white AC adapter with a power cord.
  • Ethernet cable: A white Ethernet cable.

1.2 Product Overview

Front

The front of the router features an LED indicator. The LED lights up in different ways to indicate the connectivity status of the Verizon Router.

Bottom

The bottom of the router has a bracket screw hole and displays regulatory information, including the Verizon Router model and certifications.

Rear panel

The rear panel contains several ports and buttons:

  • WPS button: Press this button once to connect the Verizon Router to a Wi-Fi Extender or other devices via WPS. After successful pairing, the LED light will stop blinking blue.
  • 10GbE LAN, LAN1, LAN2 ports: These are RJ45 ports for connecting the Verizon Router to a PC or switch via an Ethernet cable.
  • 10GE WAN port: Another RJ45 port, typically for the Wide Area Network connection.
  • Coax port: Connect the Verizon Router to your TV via a coaxial cable.
  • Reset pin hole: Factory reset the device by pressing the pin hole for 5 seconds.
  • DC jack: Connect the power adaptor to the DC jack to provide power to the Verizon Router from an electrical outlet.
  • USB-C port: A USB Type C port is also present.

The rear panel also displays Wi-Fi network details:

Chapter 2 Setup and Activation

2.1 Installation, Activation, and Setup

This section describes how to set up and configure your Verizon Router.

2.2 Setting up the Verizon Router

  1. Unbox the Verizon Router, AC adaptor, and Ethernet cable.
  2. Attach the power cord to the AC wall adapter power supply.
  3. Plug the power cord into the power port on the back of the Verizon Router.
  4. Plug the power adapter into an AC wall outlet.

2.3 WPS Connection

WPS can be used to pair your Verizon Router to other devices by following these steps:

  1. Short press the WPS button on your Verizon Router.
  2. Short press the WPS button on the device with which you want to pair your Verizon Router, making sure the device is within range of the Verizon Router.
  3. The Verizon Router will play a sound to indicate pairing is successful.
