Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Assemble Main Structure

Attach the branches (B, C, D, E, F, G) to the trunk (A) using the provided hardware (H1, H2, H3). The diagram shows how the branches slot into the trunk and are secured with screws and washers. Ensure correct orientation for left and right branches.

Step 2: Attach Anti-Tip Kit Components

This step involves preparing the anti-tip kit for wall mounting. There are two methods depending on your wall type:

2a. For walls with baseboard

Attach the bracket (H4) to the furniture using screws (H9). The diagram shows the bracket being secured to the back of the bookcase structure. The bracket is then positioned for wall attachment.

2b. For walls without baseboard

Similar to 2a, attach the bracket (H4) to the furniture using screws (H5). The diagram illustrates the process.

Step 3: Position Bookcase and Mark Wall

Place the assembled Tree Bookcase against the wall where you intend to install it. Mark the desired attachment point on the wall through the bracket.

Step 4: Prepare Wall for Anchors

Follow the "Find Your Wall Material" instructions on page 9. If using plastic anchors (H6), drill a 3/8" (9 mm) hole at the marked spot and insert the plastic anchor.

Step 5: Secure Bookcase to Wall

Align the bracket on the bookcase with the wall anchor or stud. Use the appropriate screws (H7, H3) to securely attach the bookcase to the wall. Ensure the bookcase is stable.

Step 6: Complete!

Your Babyletto Spruce Tree Bookcase is now assembled and secured. Ensure all connections are tight and the unit is stable.

Anti-Tip Kit Installation

⚠️ WARNING: Children have died from furniture tipover. To reduce the risk of furniture tipover, ALWAYS install the tip-over restraint provided.

General Safety Precautions:

• Failure to follow these warnings and assembly instructions could result in serious injury or death.
• Read all instructions before use. Keep instructions for future use.
• Check the product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges before and after assembly, and frequently during use. DO NOT assemble or use if any parts are missing, damaged, or broken. Contact Babyletto for replacements.
• Tighten all screws securely at each step and check frequently to ensure they remain tight.
• If refinishing, use a non-toxic finish specified for children's products.
• This product contains small parts. Keep small parts out of children's reach during assembly.
• Screws may have sharp edges or points. Keep screws out of the reach of children at all times.
• Properly discard all packaging materials after assembly is complete.
• Weight limit: 176 lb (80 kg).

Finding Your Wall Material

Determine your wall material and follow the appropriate steps to attach the anti-tip kit securely.

For Drywall or Plaster with Wood Stud:

1. Mark the attachment point on the wall, positioned over a wood stud.
2. Drill a 1/8-inch (3 mm) diameter pilot hole into the wood stud at the marked spot.
3. Thread the screw with a washer through the textile strap, then drive the screw firmly into the wood stud.

For Drywall Without Wood Stud:

1. Mark the attachment point on the wall.
2. Drill a 3/8-inch (9 mm) diameter hole through the wall at the marked spot.
3. Drive the plastic anchor (H6) into the hole, using a hammer if needed.
4. Thread the screw with a washer through the textile strap, then drive the screw firmly into the plastic anchor in the wall. Do not over-tighten.

If your wall material is not listed, or if you have questions, consult your local hardware store.

? Storage

Store furniture in controlled environments, away from direct sunlight, air-conditioning outlets, radiators, heaters, or humidifiers. Temperature and humidity fluctuations can cause wood to shrink or swell.

? Care and Cleaning

Clean wood or metal parts with a soft, lint-free cloth and a non-toxic cleaner. Wipe dry immediately. Avoid abrasive chemicals or materials. For fabrics, use a non-toxic fabric or leather cleaner. Touch-up kits are available.
