Cisco 8000 Series Routers: IOS XR Release 25.2.1 Highlights

Key Software Features

This release brings advanced features such as disk encryption for enhanced data security using LUKS with AES-XTS, robust telemetry streaming for IPv4 and IPv6 interfaces, and Cisco Secure DDoS Edge Protection for MPLS traffic. Enhancements in Quality of Service (QoS) include increased accuracy for traffic shaping statistics and improved monitoring of Priority Flow Control (PFC) pause durations. Network monitoring is further bolstered with features like mirroring dropped traps using SPAN and sFlow, and simultaneous L2 and L3 flow monitoring via IPFIX.

New Hardware Introduction
