1. Warnings and Safety

Road Safety: Always adhere to traffic regulations. All operations on the N-Com system must be performed with the motorcycle stopped. Adjust volume to ensure clear hearing of surrounding sounds and avoid distractions. Do not operate your mobile phone or other connected devices while riding.

Safe Environments: Comply with all limitations regarding cell phone use. Do not use the N-Com system or your phone in forbidden areas, near refueling stations, combustible materials, or explosive materials.

Interferences: Wireless signal transmission may cause interferences affecting device performance. These are not attributable to a defect in the N-Com system.

Appropriate Use: Use the device only as described in the product documentation. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the system.

Qualified Personnel: Only qualified personnel should perform technical assistance. Contact your local dealer for any malfunctions. Tampering with the system may invalidate the warranty and create dangerous situations.

Accessories and Batteries: Use only Nolangroup-approved batteries, chargers, and accessories. Using incompatible batteries may lead to dangerous situations and void the warranty. Disconnect power by pulling the plug, not the cable. Do not use damaged batteries or chargers. Avoid short-circuiting the battery. Keep batteries within specified temperature ranges. Do not expose batteries to fire or high temperatures. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. Do not wear the helmet while charging the battery. Keep batteries away from children.

Disposal: Refer to the user manual for disassembly instructions. Dispose of the product according to EU regulations for separate collection. Proper disposal prevents negative consequences for health and the environment. Dealers provide free collection of obsolete equipment when supplying new equipment.

3. Installation on the Helmet

Important: Record the product's identification code before installation (see Chapter 11.4). Installation videos are available at www.n-com.it.

Battery Connection: Open the e-box, connect the battery to the port, and close the e-box.

Initial Steps: Ensure the B101 system turns on by pressing the 'n' key for 2 seconds until the blue LED lights up. Remove cheek padding and helmet edge gasket using the provided tool. Remove 'N-Com' plugs from the helmet shell.

Installing the B101 System:

Adjusting the Microphone: Open the clip on the microphone boom, adjust the microphone position, and close the clip. Position the microphone sponge at the side of your mouth for optimal voice quality.

Removing the B101 System: Remove cheek padding and shell gasket. Remove the keypad from the shell by rotating it counterclockwise. Unhook clips and use a flat head screwdriver to remove the system. Reinstall padding and gasket.

4. Basic Functions

Battery Charging: Fully recharge the battery for at least 10 hours before first use. Recharge fully for the first few times for optimal performance. Recharge for shorter periods subsequently.

System ON/OFF: Press and hold the 'n' key for 2 seconds to turn on. Press and hold for 4 seconds to turn off.

Volume Adjustment: Tap the '+' or '-' key to adjust volume. A beep indicates maximum or minimum level. Volume settings are not stored when the system is turned off.

Auto Off Function: The system automatically shuts down after five minutes of inactivity (no Bluetooth connection).

5. Pairing Up Bluetooth Devices

To connect to another Bluetooth device, it must first be paired with the N-Com system.

Pairing Procedure:

Pairing is stored and does not need to be repeated. When multiple devices are paired, the system automatically connects to the most recently used device.

Automatic Connection: After pairing, connection is automatic when the system is turned on.

Manual Connection: If automatic connection fails, connect manually via the Bluetooth device or by pressing and holding the 'n' key for 2 seconds.

6. Mobile Phone

Follow Chapter 5 for pairing a mobile phone.

7. Music via Bluetooth

Follow Chapter 5 for pairing an MP3 device.

8. GPS Satellite Navigator

The B101 system is compatible with most common motorcycle satellite navigators. Visit www.n-com.it for a list of compatible models. Follow Chapter 5 for pairing a GPS.

9. Battery and Recharge

Low Battery Signal: An audible alert indicates a low battery. One hour of usage remains after the first alert, with warnings every 10 minutes.

Checking Battery Level: During power-on, the blue LED flashes indicate battery level: 4 flashes (75-100%), 3 flashes (50-75%), 2 flashes (1-50%).

Charging the System: Connect the system to a charger or USB plug using the USB-C cable. The blue LED flashes quickly during charging and becomes steady when fully charged. If the system is turned on during charging, the LED returns to its standard flashing pattern upon completion.

Storage: Fully recharge the device before storing it for extended periods. Recharge at least every 6 months to prevent battery damage. If the device has not been charged for over 6 months, it may not turn on; recharge for at least 24 hours.
